About the job
- A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical related field is required.
- At least 2 years of experience developing applications in C++ is required, preferably with high-availability systems and very tight latency constraints.
- Experience with C++11, C++14, C++17, or C++20, Linux, Python, and Bash scripting is required.
- In-depth knowledge of the Linux kernel and systems programming is required.
- Strong systems knowledge is required, with some experience in developing low-latency systems preferred.
- Experience writing applications that connect to exchange application programming interfaces or use network protocols is required.
- Experience with parallel, concurrent, and multithreaded programming is required.
- Experience with Git, Subversion, or Mercurial is required.
- Build and optimize the firm’s current automated trading infrastructure.
- Work directly with traders and quants to develop the next generation of trading algorithms and strategies.
- Create and develop scalable multitiered applications.
- Work on small collaborative teams as a key contributor to the firm’s software engineering efforts.
- Experience with high-availability systems and very tight latency constraints.
- Experience developing low-latency systems.
- Experience with low-latency computing and hardware-level design.
