Class B Truck Driver
About the job
- Hold a valid Class B commercial driver's license and have no more than 4 points on the license in the last 5 years, with no at-fault accidents during that period.
- Have at least 2 years of experience as a Class B box truck driver.
- Know local traffic laws and regulations and demonstrate safe driving skills.
- Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Have experience working independently and as part of a team.
- Safely operate 26-foot or longer box trucks to transport goods along designated local routes and deliver to restaurants.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance issues to management.
- Safely load and unload goods using proper lifting techniques and secure cargo as necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete required paperwork on time.
- Deliver goods punctually and address customer concerns or inquiries courteously.
- Follow safety regulations and traffic laws, including Hours of Service requirements.
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and colleagues to coordinate deliveries and resolve transit issues.
