Requirements
  • An active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance.
  • At least 8 years of related technical experience in network and transport technologies, tools, and techniques.
  • At least 4 years of experience with large-scale enterprise or global networks in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
  • Understanding and experience with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework and other key Department of Defense network architecture and strategic planning instructions.
  • Experience with Juniper switches, routers, and firewalls, including MX, EX, QFX, and SRX devices.
  • Experience with cryptographic devices, including KG-175G/F/X and KG-142.
  • Experience with network analysis tools, network monitoring, AAA solutions, and security analysis tools.
  • Experience supporting IP services connecting to NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, and other external environments.
  • Experience with switching, LAN, Layer 2 technologies, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, RSVP/LDP Layer 2/3 VPNs, VRFs, IKE/IPsec, GRE tunnels, MTU/MSS, import/export policies, IPv4, multicast, CoS/QoS, SNMP, syslog, and AAA.
  • Experience planning hardware for new site installations or equipment recapitalization, planning projects, drafting network diagrams, and drafting engineering configurations.
  • Experience troubleshooting network environments and providing regular updates.
  • IAT Level II certification.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate system maintenance, monitoring, and installation of multiple WAN and LAN environments encompassing multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies.
  • Research and implement enterprise-wide network solutions, capabilities, and enhancements to support customer business and mission objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network media and component issues.
  • Evaluate and monitor network health and performance, including hardware and management software.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for capabilities, operations, and technologies.
  • Assist with developing and executing test plans and documenting network configuration upgrades, additions, and revisions for customer approval before implementation.
  • Support network traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization efforts to achieve performance and availability objectives.
  • Evaluate and report on emerging network and communications technologies to enhance network capacity, performance, and reliability.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology changes and upgrades to address performance, standardization, and industry best practices.
  • Follow customer network security processes and procedures and ensure compliance with government policies.
  • Represent customer requirements in technical exchanges with other government agencies.
  • Perform site surveys for new installations and technology refreshes.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot satellite communications equipment.
  • Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams.
Desired Qualifications
  • JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, Cisco CCNP, CCVP, CCNA, or CCDP certification, or equivalent.
  • ITIL v3 Foundations certification.
  • ISC2 CISSP certification.
  • Experience integrating multi-vendor cloud environments.
  • Experience with network automation using Python, PyEZ, or Ansible.
  • Experience with OpenText Network Automation, Network Node Manager, ScienceLogic SL1, Forward Networks, Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, Juniper Route Director, Juniper Security Appliance, Riverbed, Infoblox, and NetTerrain.
