Requirements
  • Working toward a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, estimating, engineering, construction management, or a contracting environment.
  • Strong personal computer skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge and understand concepts and complexity comfortably.
  • Ability to distinguish among tasks, organize assignments, determine processes, and maximize workflow.
  • Ability to establish and grow customer relationships through effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to solve problems, negotiate, manage stress, actively listen, and demonstrate integrity.
  • Ability to work in an office environment and frequently in the field.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and telephone, stand, walk, sit, and occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain job files for each project throughout its duration.
  • Optimize projects through product selection, specifications, plans, estimates, proposals, value engineering, and redesigns.
  • Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
  • Communicate with owners, architects, MEP consultants, and general, mechanical, and electrical contractors.
  • Organize project-related data for order entry.
  • Respond to and track IOM and submittal requests.
  • Read, understand, and interpret building plans and specifications.
  • Develop and grow relationships with customers, contractors, project engineers, and manufacturers.
  • Determine project requirements, constraints, and sales team responsibilities to meet customer system design, installation, and maintenance expectations.
  • Investigate concerns, implement corrective action, and communicate with customers and coworkers to maximize customer satisfaction.
Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of MEP consulting, architecture, design, computer-aided design, general contracting, mechanical contracting, engineering, or the construction industry.
