Requirements
  • 10 to 15 years of IT and business work experience with broad exposure to various cloud and artificial intelligence/machine learning platforms.
  • A demonstrated history of execution and fiduciary responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience leading artificial intelligence, machine learning, or generative artificial intelligence initiatives from strategy through production deployment and governance.
  • At least 10 years of experience in architecture and software engineering in the commercial property and casualty insurance industry.
  • Experience with core systems replacement or modernization, including policy, billing, or claims systems.
  • Highly analytical and structured thinking, with curiosity and creativity to conceive solutions to problems.
  • Strong customer orientation focused on generating value for underwriting, billing, claims, brokers, managing general agents, and insureds.
  • Strong project execution and attention to detail.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or another related field, or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise architecture decisions.
  • Develop technology and architecture vision and standards with the CIO and business stakeholders.
  • Lead the architecture and Core API engineering teams.
  • Define and drive the enterprise artificial intelligence adoption strategy and roadmap, identifying high-impact use cases for artificial intelligence and automation across underwriting, claims, and IT operations.
  • Facilitate prioritization of architecture and software engineering initiatives.
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, and recommend flexible, cost-effective solutions.
  • Work with IT members to prepare alternatives for resolving business problems.
  • Share knowledge of technology opportunities and risks to build competitive advantage and improve business-unit efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee implementation of end-to-end system integrations.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to select products or services that best meet organizational goals.
  • Work with business partners on technology solution needs.
  • Create and document patterns and guiding principles to achieve the long-term vision.
  • Communicate architecture and data decisions, priorities, and relevant information to project teams and appropriate staff levels.
  • Establish governance and responsible-artificial-intelligence standards to ensure artificial intelligence and automation initiatives meet security, compliance, and model-risk requirements.
