- A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing or related field is required.
- An unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia is required.
- Two years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse are required.
- Two years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in the clinical specialty are required.
- American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
- Visual color acuity is required depending on the role in specific units.
- Function as a unit-based clinical resource and educator.
- Support staff development, orientation and onboarding, competency, patient education, and quality improvement.
- Support established standards of care and practice through training, staff development, clinical improvement activities, and patient and staff education.
- Serve as a role model of clinical excellence in nursing knowledge and clinical practice.
- An additional Life Support credential, such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program, or another clinical specialty certification, is preferred for specific units.
