Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree can substitute for five years of relevant commercial or government experience; degree must be from an accredited college or university; applicant must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline, public or business administration, or security management
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology
  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization” by the United States Government’s designated Security Office
  • Experience: at least 15 years of relevant commercial or government experience, including at least 10 years of relevant security-related experience and at least 5 years of experience in conducting performance-based appraisals
  • Knowledge: detailed knowledge of protective force operations and interfaces with the safeguards and security system; knowledge of protective force training, weapons, equipment, management and supervision, skills, and techniques; knowledge of the physical protection aspects of safeguards and security, including vulnerability assessment techniques, site safeguards and security plans, physical security, protective force operations, and insider threats
  • Knowledge: knowledge of techniques to protect special nuclear materials and classified matter against diversion, theft, sabotage, and espionage
  • Knowledge: demonstrated ability to design, develop, conduct, and evaluate limited-scope and system performance tests of the effectiveness of safeguards and security program elements, including force-on-force exercises
  • Knowledge: detailed knowledge of the Agency Missions, sites, facilities, operations, and organizational roles and responsibilities
  • Knowledge: demonstrated ability to translate complex subjects into reports understandable to a management audience
  • Skills: excellent oral and written communications skills, conflict resolution abilities, and ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure in an uncertain environment
  • Travel: travel as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations
  • Location: CONUS - Mid Atlantic Washington Metropolitan Area (Northern Virginia | Washington DC | Maryland)
Responsibilities
  • Observe and report on the performance of Federal and contractor organizations’ implementation of security and safety policies and programs
  • Apply enforcement actions to contractor organizations for poor performance in adhering to legally enforceable security and safety requirements
  • Develop and deliver security and safety training programs that reflect best practices and lessons learned from EA independent assessments to enhance workforce performance
  • Provide technical expertise to perform the full scope of oversight program and support activities for the enforcement and training programs in the areas of safeguards and security; cyber security; emergency management; environment, safety, and health; as well as general and cross-cutting support
  • Support CLIN 1000: Management And Technical Crosscutting Activities (Time And Materials) for Activities Related To General And Cross-Cutting Support
  • Travel as needed for project work part time as required by the engagement
  • Coordinate with the technical point of contact and the Contracting Officer for travel and milestones
