We are seeking an experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Leader to continue the expansion of our dynamic team in Southern California. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in water and wastewater management, with a strong background in capital improvement, program management, project management, construction management, or inspection services. This senior water leader is responsible for driving business growth as well.
As a Senior Water/Wastewater Leader at Anser Advisory, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing various water and wastewater projects, providing technical guidance, strategic direction, and project oversight to support our clients’ objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage water and wastewater projects, including program management, project management, construction management, and inspection services, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide expert technical guidance and strategic advice on water and wastewater infrastructure planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance, with a focus on optimizing performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and interdisciplinary project teams to develop and implement innovative solutions that address water and wastewater challenges, enhance resilience, and improve community outcomes.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of water and wastewater systems, infrastructure, and facilities, identifying opportunities for improvement, optimization, and risk mitigation.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, resources, and deliverables, ensuring effective project management, resource allocation, and performance monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, and other deliverables to communicate project findings, recommendations, and outcomes to diverse audiences, including clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner and maintaining a customer-centric approach to project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory requirements, emerging technologies, and best practices related to water and wastewater management, and apply this knowledge to enhance project performance and deliver innovative solutions.
- Create development plans and forecast sales targets and growth projections. Identify market opportunities through meetings, networking and other channels.
- Must have experience in an owner’s representative capacity supporting Southern, CA water agencies.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10-15 years of experience in water and wastewater management, with a focus on program management, project management, construction management, or inspection services (experience plus certifications may be substituted in lieu of degree).
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing water and wastewater construction projects in Southern California, with a strong understanding of local regulations, permitting processes, and industry standards.
- Demonstrated expertise in water and wastewater infrastructure planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance, including knowledge of treatment processes, conveyance systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize tasks, manage budgets and schedules, and mitigate risks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, stakeholders, and project teams and effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or equivalent are preferred.
