Pendo is seeking a strategic, proactive Chief of Staff to support our CEO. This role is vital for facilitating organizational alignment, driving high-impact initiatives, and enabling efficient decision-making across our executive team. The ideal candidate is confident, analytical, and respected for their ability to bring clarity and direction to complex situations. As a trusted advisor to the CEO, you’ll provide balanced insights, maintain a high level of trust and objectivity, and foster strong relationships across the organization.
Role Responsibilities
- Facilitate the decisions on annual thematic goals, quarterly OKRs, and work closely with program owners to update CTeam on progress and/or blockers
- Proactively suggest strategies, identify potential challenges, and develop solutions to address them, helping the CEO and executive team “look around corners” and stay ahead of needs
- Curate and communicate key information between the CEO and organizational leaders, ensuring all are equipped with accurate insights to support decentralized decision-making and strategic alignment
- Prepare detailed briefs for the CTeam on emerging issues and key meetings, rapidly absorbing information and providing thoughtful, independent assessments and recommendations
- Develop and deliver high-quality materials for internal and external presentations, including for board, investor, and executive meetings
- Facilitate CTeam and executive meetings and offsites. This requires a close understanding of the highest leverage areas of the business to align on, and setting up the agenda accordingly in close partnership with the CEO
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a strategic, cross-functional business role, ideally within a fast-growing B2B SaaS environment
- Proven ability to communicate confidently and effectively with stakeholders at all levels, particularly in high-stakes, executive settings
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to independently assess situations and provide clear, unbiased insights
- Ability to work autonomously and thrive in ambiguous situations, quickly picking up new information and making sound decisions under pressure
- Familiarity with business metrics and a demonstrated understanding of at least one area of operational metrics
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience partnering closely with executive leaders, providing constructive feedback, and confidently acting as a trusted advisor
- Highly skilled at prioritization and decision-making in complex, evolving environments; able to bring direction and actionable insights to areas of ambiguity
- Strong interpersonal and soft skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage and navigate varied personalities while maintaining trust and respect
- Proven ability to influence across hierarchical levels, ensuring alignment on key goals and initiatives, and fostering accountability across the organization
- Expertise in translating broad strategic initiatives into clear, actionable plans, driving results in collaboration with cross-functional teams

Compensation
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.
The expected salary range for this role to be performed in Raleigh, North Carolina is $152,000 - $189,000.
Individual pay rate decisions, including offers made within and over the expected salary range, are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
