Requirements
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher with relevant classwork or internships in Machine Learning.
  • Experience designing and iterating on agentic systems, understanding user interactions, and evaluating agent performance to enhance user experiences.
  • Experience with advanced machine learning methods.
  • Statistical knowledge, intuition, and experience modeling real data.
  • Expertise in Python and Python-based machine-learning frameworks such as LangGraph, Pydantic AI, and PyTorch.
  • Demonstrated effective coding, documentation, and communication habits.
  • Ability to express complicated methods and results effectively to a broad, often non-technical audience.
Responsibilities
  • Solve challenges in agentic design and large language model orchestration, including context engineering, data access patterns, memory management, and evaluation of agent performance.
  • Lead a project to prototype, build, and test machine-learning models and pipeline components under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Gain hands-on experience across the machine-learning model lifecycle, from problem framing to model selection, pipeline development, evaluation, and deployment support.
  • Work within a cross-functional team of machine-learning engineers, product managers, designers, and full-stack engineers while receiving mentorship and continuous feedback.

S&P Global to acquire OpenZeppelin, securing $37T in onchain transactions

S&P Global has entered into an agreement to acquire OpenZeppelin, a blockchain security firm specialising in onchain finance. Financial terms were not disclosed. Founded in 2015, OpenZeppelin provides onchain security assessments and smart contract development services. Its open-source smart contract libraries underpin over $37 trillion in value transferred, including major stablecoins and tokenised funds. The company has conducted more than 900 security engagements. The acquisition will expand S&P Global's risk assessment capabilities into onchain technology. OpenZeppelin will continue operating as a separate business unit, with CEO Demian Brener remaining in his role and reporting to Yann Le Pallec, president of S&P Global Ratings. The transaction is subject to closing conditions and is not expected to materially impact S&P Global's financial results.

S&P Global invests in SSImple to automate settlement instruction management

S&P Global has made a strategic investment in SSImple, a fintech firm specialising in Standing Settlement Instructions (SSI) management. The partnership aims to modernise the handling of SSIs, which are critical for post-trade settlement but often rely on fragmented, manual processes. The collaboration comes as markets transition to shorter settlement cycles. The US has already moved to T+1 settlement, whilst the UK and EU are shifting to T+1 in October 2027. Shorter cycles reduce time for resolving exceptions, increasing the need for accurate, automated data. Together, the firms have developed SSI Automate, combining SSImple's SSI expertise with S&P Global's market connectivity and workflow capabilities. The solution aims to improve data quality, reduce manual intervention, and support straight-through processing across post-trade operations.
