About the job
- A degree in Aerospace Engineering or an equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics, with specialization in aeronautical systems.
- A Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
- English proficiency at a minimum B2 level under the Common European Framework of Reference, accredited by an official certificate such as TOEIC, BULATS, Cambridge, or IELTS.
- At least two years of experience managing or technically developing aeronautical projects involving design, certification, or maintenance.
- At least two years of experience supervising maintenance of critical components, including engines, wing surfaces, and hydraulic or electrical systems.
- At least two years of experience validating aeronautical systems, including flight simulators and mission-planning systems.
- Knowledge of EASA regulations Part-21, Part-145, and Part-M, and EU Regulation 2018/1139.
- Knowledge of project-management tools including Microsoft Project and JIRA, and advanced office software skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of design and simulation software including CATIA V5, SolidWorks, and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Knowledge of risk analysis methods including FMEA and HAZOP, and configuration management using PLM.
- Review technical requirements in collaboration with DGAM and the Spanish Air Force.
- Prepare conformity reports for aeronautical systems, including simulators and mission-planning systems.
- Validate technical documentation, including the Certification Acceptance List, training manuals, and engineering changes.
- Identify and evaluate technical and operational risks in the MPA/VIGMA program.
- Propose mitigating measures and monitor their implementation.
- Control maintenance of critical components, including engines, wing surfaces, and hydraulic or electrical systems.
- Verify compliance with airworthiness standards under EU Regulation 2018/1139 and EASA Part-21 and Part-145.
- Support system commissioning activities, including functional testing and protocol validation.
- Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure platform operability.
- Analyze industry modification proposals and evaluate their impact on safety, costs, and schedules.
- Prepare technical justifications for design changes.
- Prepare minutes and progress reports for monthly technical meetings.
- Present deviations, corrective actions, and milestone planning.
- Communicate with industry teams, including manufacturers and maintainers, and with the Spanish Air Force.
- Represent the technical function in steering committees and design reviews.
- Ensure compliance with the Air Safety Law 21/2003, EU Regulation 2018/1139, and EASA Part-21, Part-145, and Part-M standards.
- Verify airworthiness and maintenance certifications.
- Handle classified RESERVADO-level documentation in accordance with ANPIC/CNI rules.
- Implement confidentiality and destruction protocols for sensitive documents at the end of the contract.
- Monitor costs associated with program phases and prepare variance reports.
- Collaborate on economic proposals for modifications or expansions.
- Write risk-analysis reports, meeting minutes, and monitoring memoranda.
- Use document-management tools such as PLM and SharePoint.
- AS9100 or EN9100 aeronautical quality certifications.
