- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
- An unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia is required.
- Certification in the American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support is required.
- Two years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse is required.
- Coordinate daily activities and distribute work in the area during the scheduled shift.
- Act as a professional educator and resource for new employees by demonstrating clinical expertise and competence.
- Provide approximately 80% direct patient care and 20% charge-preceptor duties, with the balance varying based on patient acuity and volume.
- Provide care and services to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
- Set priorities based on the situation at hand while combining direct patient care, charge, and preceptor responsibilities for a unit during an eight- to twelve-hour shift.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is preferred.
- Two years of recent experience in the current clinical specialty, such as critical care, surgical services, diabetes education, or radiology, is preferred.
- An additional life support credential, such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program, or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units, is preferred.
- Visual color acuity is preferred depending on the role in specific units.
