Requirements
  • At least 2 years of acute-care hospital registered nurse experience in medical-surgical or critical-care acute inpatient settings.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is required.
  • A current New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
  • A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification for health care providers is required.
  • Certain specialties may require advanced certification, such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Neonatal Advanced Life Support, or Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
  • Proficiency in computer and technology skills and operation is required.
  • Epic documentation and user proficiency are required.
  • Clinical competency must be maintained through at least four shifts per year, including at least one shift per quarter.
Responsibilities
  • Assume accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team.
  • Oversee and provide care to patients using the nursing process, including the therapeutic use of self.
  • Advocate for patients and support bedside staff.
  • Facilitate learning and align practice with safety and quality.
  • Engage in professional development.
  • Work collaboratively and independently on care processes using available technologies, including artificial intelligence technology.
