- At least 2 years of acute-care hospital registered nurse experience in medical-surgical or critical-care acute inpatient settings.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is required.
- A current New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
- A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification for health care providers is required.
- Certain specialties may require advanced certification, such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Neonatal Advanced Life Support, or Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
- Proficiency in computer and technology skills and operation is required.
- Epic documentation and user proficiency are required.
- Clinical competency must be maintained through at least four shifts per year, including at least one shift per quarter.
- Assume accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team.
- Oversee and provide care to patients using the nursing process, including the therapeutic use of self.
- Advocate for patients and support bedside staff.
- Facilitate learning and align practice with safety and quality.
- Engage in professional development.
- Work collaboratively and independently on care processes using available technologies, including artificial intelligence technology.
