As an Legal Counsel, you play a key role in securing, enhancing, and evolving our online channel and retail portfolio, and proficiency in English is essential to operate within an international network where every decision must align with the Group’s standards and ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
Real Estate & Portfolio Management
As an Legal Counsel, you are at the core of the Group’s real‑estate strategy, and lease management represents one of the most significant part of the role. You draft, negotiate, and review commercial leases, amendments, and real‑estate contracts to ensure the long‑term security of our locations.
You support all projects related to portfolio optimization: openings, renewals, relocations, transfers, refurbishments, and modernization initiatives, while ensuring full compliance with regulations and internal standards.
Commercial Contracts
You draft, negotiate, and update the contracts that support our activities: service agreements, procurement contracts, commercial operations, merchandising agreements, and framework contracts. You ensure contractual commitments are secure and aligned with Group models and business priorities.
Legal Support & Risk Management
You advise all operational teams in their daily decisions. You conduct legal analyses, due diligence, and risk assessments, and provide clear, pragmatic, and business‑oriented solutions to support projects through to their operational execution.
Cross‑functional Collaboration
This role also supports key business areas, including Marketing, E‑commerce, and additional cross‑functional stakeholders, working together to create the best customer experience.
Who You Work With
You operate in an international, and highly collaborative network. You work closely with the Leasing Managers covering France who act as strategic partners in the field. You also engage with the Construction, Operations, Marketing, Commercial, Finance, and Procurement teams, who bring to life the projects you legally secure.
Your role also connects you to a global dimension: you collaborate in fluent English with our regional and international legal teams, notably those based in Stockholm, who help drive the Group’s vision across Europe.
You work hand in hand with our external partners such as landlords, lawyers, and specialized firms, who help move our projects forward. Your ability to build strong relationships and align stakeholders with diverse priorities becomes a true catalyst to turning our ambitions into reality on the ground.
Who You Are
You are someone who thrives in a dynamic, international, and constantly evolving environment. You move forward with clarity, structure, and confidence, even as priorities shift quickly. Your attention to detail, and ability to organize your work enable you to handle complex matters efficiently and with assurance.
You communicate clearly and accessibly, including when simplifying legal topics for varied audiences: operational teams, managers, landlords, or external partners. You adapt your communication style naturally and build lasting trust thanks to your service mindset, active listening, and collaborative approach.
You enjoy making decisions in fast‑paced environments, finding solutions where others may see constraints, and contributing directly to impactful projects. You navigate comfortably within a matrix organization, where success depends on cooperation and smooth information flow.
Your background reflects strong legal expertise:
• You hold a Master’s degree in Law
• You have 5 to 10 years of experience in commercial real estate law, business law, or contracts
• Experience in retail, real estate, or multi‑site environments is a strong advantage
Because your role operates fully in an international framework, you have excellent English proficiency (C1 level), enabling you to collaborate daily with our global teams.
Finally, you embody a way of working aligned with our values: collaboration, openness, trust, and strong results orientation. You care as much about how you work as what you deliver, and you contribute to building inclusive, inspiring, and forward‑looking workplaces.

H&M Kids and Morris & Co. bring Strawberry Thief and archival motifs to new autumn childrenswear collection. The collaboration reworks Morris & Co. heritage patterns across knitwear, dresses and coordinated pieces for babies and children, launching online in selected markets on 8 October The H&M Kids and Morris & Co. collaboration reworks heritage patterns including Strawberry Thief across autumn childrenswear for babies and children. H&M Kids has collaborated with Morris & Co. on an autumn childrenswear collection that reinterprets the British design house's heritage patterns, including William Morris's Strawberry Thief, alongside animal motifs, botanicals, florals and two-tone designs. The range spans knitwear, dresses, matching sets and separates for babies and children, with details including intarsia knitting, embroidery, corduroy, wool-mix fabrics, crochet trims and smocking. Morris & Co. H&M will be available online at hm.com in selected markets from 8 October. (PRESS RELEASE) 1-Oct-2026 - /EuropaWire/ - H&M Kids is joining forces with Morris & Co. this autumn for a childrenswear collection that brings reimagined heritage designs into everyday clothing for babies and children. The range centres on one of the British design house's best-known prints, Strawberry Thief, alongside birds, botanicals, signature florals and other archival-inspired motifs. The collaboration spans knitwear, dresses, matching sets and separates, combining a craft-led aesthetic with pieces designed for regular wear. Morris & Co. H&M will be available online at hm.com in selected markets from 8 October. Strawberry Thief has been central to the identity of Morris & Co. since William Morris designed it in 1883. The pattern's birds, strawberries and blossom remain immediately recognisable more than a century later. For the H&M collaboration, the design appears alongside Morris & Co. animal motifs and simpler two-tone patterns, reworked for childrenswear through intarsia knitting, placement embroidery and all-over printed separates, together with rustic stripes and quieter tonal pieces. Texture plays a prominent role throughout the collection, with brushed knit, corduroy and wool-mix fabrics used across smocked dresses, needlecord separates and scalloped-collar blouses. A colour palette of ivory, taupe, chestnut, dusky pink and deep teal gives the range a grounded autumnal feel, while crochet trims and floral embroidery add decorative detail. The overall approach combines nostalgic references with a contemporary childrenswear interpretation while reflecting the craftsmanship associated with both brands. "Our collaboration with Morris & Co. takes the storytelling of Strawberry Thief and brings it into everyday kidswear - pieces that feel rooted in craft but ready for real life. Together, we've created a collection that is about heritage made playful," says Sofia Löfstedt, Head of Kidswear Design at H&M. "Strawberry Thief is all about celebrating the small, wild details in daily life, which felt like the perfect starting point for a children's collection. The story of thrushes visiting the kitchen garden of Morris' countryside home is an idyllic fairy tale in itself, and working with H&M brings these designs to a new generation, in pieces made to be worn, loved and lived in," says Jessica Clayworth at Morris & Co. About Morris & Co. As a political theorist, publisher, environmental campaigner, poet, and outstanding designer, William Morris (1834-1896) was one of the single most influential figures of the nineteenth century, founding Morris & Co. (originally Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co.) in 1861. Under his direction, the company grew into a flourishing and fashionable Arts & Crafts decorating business renowned for wallpapers and textiles, becoming part of Sanderson & Sons in 1940. Today, the Sanderson Design Group builds on that proud heritage with the inventive reimagining of Morris & Co. classics, ever upholding the impeccable standard of craftsmanship that has defined all Morris & Co. products since inception. Guided by the creative intuition of William Morris, designs are inspired by treasures in the Morris & Co. archive, which houses historical logbooks, samples of each wallpaper, printed and woven textiles and original wooden printing blocks. With the ability to faithfully transform a space into an Arts & Crafts haven through evocation of the glorious drama and wonderment in nature, the authentic archival documents and designs of Morris & Co. continue to inspire interest and insatiable demand to this day. H&M overhauls its onsite search across more than 60 markets in technology partnership with Voyado. H&M has overhauled its onsite search across more than 60 markets, working with Voyado. The retailer says that the move away from keyword matching to an intent driven model has reduced soft exits (where shoppers drift off because of friction rather than choice) by 80% and cut customer exits from search by 30%. Rather than matching search terms to product names, the new setup reads a range of signals at once: stock availability, add to bag actions, purchase behaviour, product newness, revenue performance and customer intent and updates rankings in real-time. "As our business grew, we needed a more intelligent approach to search, ranking, and discovery. We found Voyado to be the best fit for us." says Lars Gezelius, Acting Global Head of Digital at H&M. Erica Sandelin Ekelund, CEO at Voyado, says: "Search is a clear signal of what customers actually want. When a customer searches, they're not browsing - they're telling you. And many retailers are throwing that signal away. H&M recognised the value and used it to rebuild their customer experience from the ground up, and the numbers confirm they were right. The most successful retailers won't be those with the most extensive catalogues. They'll be the ones who understand their customers and what they actually came for." 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards The awards are now open for entries and celebrate global retail technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world. Its winners will be revealed at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards Ceremony, taking place at The HAC in Central London on Wednesday, 4th November. Its 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson. In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: "This is the awards' fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA's HQ in the West End." "But I'm conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You're only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we've moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records." He added: "This year's submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable." Congratulations to its winners, and a big thank you to its sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended its 2025 gathering.
17-year-old fashion retailer closing all stores. September 26, 2026 When people are worried about paying their mortgage and putting food on the table, what they're wearing tends to become less of a focus. "A long-feared cyclical slowdown has arrived. Consumers, affected by the recent period of high inflation, are increasingly price-sensitive. There is also the surprising rise of dupes, the acceleration of climate change, and the continued reshuffling of global trade," according to McKinsey's State of Fashion 2025. Fast-fashion chains, which offer lower prices, should be resilient during challenging economic times. Yet chains like Rhapsodielle, a regional fast-fashion brand, have faced the same controversies and consumer pushback over environmental concerns as bigger brands such as H&M and Shein. Now, Rhapsodielle has shared plans to close down all of its stores. Rhapsodielle shares shutdown plan. Rhapsodielle has decided to close all of its stores. The shutdown notifications began with an Instagram Post confirming the shutdown of the Henderson, Nevada, location. "As we prepare to close this chapter, we invite you to visit us one last time," said the Instagram post. "Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your lives, your celebrations and your everyday moments," the company shared. That was followed by the company sharing that all of its remaining stores would be closing. "Rhapsodielle employees confirmed its remaining two locations will be closing at the end of October. The storefronts are at 8455 W. Warm Springs Road and 1300 W. Sunset Road, Suite 1211, inside the Mershops Galleria at Sunset in Henderson," according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The chain will still accept store credit and gift cards until it closes, according to the Instagram post. Previously, the retailer closed its North Nellis and East Charleston Boulevard location, as well as its West Charleston and South Rampart Boulevard locations. Both of the locations are listed as "permanently closed" on Apple Maps, the Review-Journal added. RTM Nexus CEO Dominick Miserandino thinks that Rhapsodielle faces issues beyond the problems H&M and Schein have struggled with. "The problem for a smaller fast-fashion chain is the math. You have rent, labor, and inventory tied up in physical stores, while the customer can compare you against dozens of online alternatives in seconds. If you miss a trend or buy too deeply, you are marking it down to get it out the door. You don't need many mistakes like that before a store stops making economic sense," he told TheStreet. Here's why fast-fashion chains are struggling. Fast-fashion chains have faced significant pushback over their impact on the environment. "People in the U.S. throw away at least 17 million tons of textiles every year - about 100 pounds of clothing per person. At the same time, unsold blouses, jackets, and other fashion-industry leftovers end up in dumps such as the one in Chile's Atacama Desert, so vast as to be visible from space. Many of these items are fast fashion - made quickly, sold cheaply, and in style for too short a time because the industry relies on novelty to keep consumers buying," Scientific American reported. That's a bigger problem than it seems. "Every year the global garment industry emits up to 10% of the world's greenhouse gas output and uses enough water to fill at least 37 million Olympic-size swimming pools," the publication shared. Fast-fashion retailers sit in an odd place because consumers do want cheap clothes. "Even though shoppers have proven less willing than hoped to pay extra for planet-friendly products, making the business case for sustainability less obvious to executives among other competing priorities, the mounting cost of climate change, and government action to combat it, mean sustainability must remain at the top of the agenda," according to McKinsey. Fast fashion has also been hit by higher costs due to tariffs, although that has been a fluid situation. "It takes a little bit of their competitive edge away," GlobalData Managing Director Neil Saunders told the Los Angeles Times. "They either have to take a hit on their margins," Saunders said, "or they have to put prices up for the consumer, and given that their whole business model is low prices, it might reduce sales."
