Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Five years of heavy equipment experience are required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and email is required.
  • Intermediate keyboarding skills and basic knowledge of office software are required, with Microsoft Word preferred.
  • Ability to perform high-quality repairs efficiently and maintain a clean working environment is required.
  • Ability to work independently, use written resources, make decisions, follow directions, communicate effectively, organize work, and write technical reports is required.
  • Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds is required.
  • Flexibility to work Saturdays and overtime as needed is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform service repairs, component repairs, general repairs, and maintenance.
  • Complete service reports, inspection checklists, timecards, warranty documentation, and follow-up forms accurately and promptly.
  • Complete paperwork before moving to the next job and communicate additional required time to the dispatcher.
  • Use SIS, ET, parts manuals, service manuals, prescribed tools, guidelines, and documentation.
  • Segment jobs and order parts accordingly.
  • Return unneeded parts immediately after job completion.
  • Communicate job status to customers and office personnel.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and power-train issues in depth.
  • Maintain company-supplied tooling and equipment, including personal tooling.
  • Orchestrate special parts arrangements to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Perform mechanical work related to the department's business.
  • Keep current with industry standards.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction and take full ownership of each job.
  • Use safe working practices.
  • Ensure rework and excessive labor remain within department limits and prevent equipment damage caused by neglect or abuse.
  • Operate or move equipment as needed to determine required maintenance.
  • Work primarily in the construction equipment shop and at field locations or jobsites as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Intermediate keyboarding skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word are preferred.
