About the job
- At least 10 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3 years in a high-growth technology startup.
- Direct experience preparing companies for institutional venture capital rounds.
- Prior background in investment banking, venture capital, corporate financial planning and analysis, or public accounting.
- Advanced financial modeling skills and the ability to translate complex data into strategy.
- Willingness to operate as a sole contributor initially before scaling a lean team.
- Experience with finance platforms such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Rippling, Carta, or Mosaic.
- Build and maintain rolling forecast models to project revenue, expenses, EBITDA, and cash flow, including scenario modeling.
- Track and optimize core unit economics metrics, including lifetime value, customer acquisition cost, gross margins, and contribution margins.
- Partner with leadership to set department budgets and maximize return on investment for headcount, capital expenditures, and research and development.
- Work with the CEO on capital structure planning and execute equity and debt financing.
- Prepare financial presentations and commentary for quarterly board meetings and investors.
- Establish generally accepted accounting principles-compliant accounting policies, U.S. government-compliant practices, internal controls, and tax compliance.
- Oversee efficient monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes and reporting.
- Implement and/or optimize automated finance tools for payroll, billing, and enterprise resource planning.

Elve makes high-efficiency, lightweight mmWave power amplifiers (TWTAs) for satellite links and long-distance ground connections. The amplifiers use traveling-wave tubes and nanocomposite emitters to achieve high electron emission at lower temperatures, enabling longer device life and better performance across Ka-, Q-, V-, and E-bands. Manufacturing combines advanced materials, additive manufacturing, and automated production to enable cost-effective, high-volume vacuum-electronic devices and a direct-to-consumer model for telecoms, satellite, defense, and imaging markets.
