Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college
  • 2+ years of experience in a healthcare compliance or regulatory role, HCCA certification a plus
  • Fundamental understanding of the seven elements of a compliance program
  • Experience drafting, reviewing and maintaining policies and procedures
  • Highly organized and able to manage complex projects from end-to-end
  • Ability to independently and thoroughly research, analyze, organize, and clearly summarize issues
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability over assigned projects and tasks
  • Excited about working on a broad variety of compliance matters

Responsibilities
  • Make recommendations regarding development and revision of policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct
  • Assist in the development and delivery of education to operations teams to support them in understanding and complying with applicable requirements
  • Assist in developing and monitoring key performance indicators to assess operational risk
  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable regulations, industry standards or changes, and policies as they affect Spring Health through routine review of resources, e.g. Federal Register, Multiple-state manuals, bulletins, notices, etc
  • Assess corrective action plan adherence or continuous improvement plan adherence until operational areas meet appropriate standards
  • Assist in investigations surrounding alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct
  • Assist in the remediation of any compliance hotline calls
  • Act as communications channel to receive compliance issues, collaborating with other departments to direct concerns to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution
  • Make recommendations regarding follow-up actions in response to violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and Code of Conduct
  • Monitor regulatory registrations and filings and ensure that they remain current
  • Maintains collaborative working relationships with Operations, the People Team, Finance, and corporate leadership and other stakeholders
  • Acts as a champion for Corporate Compliance to support the continuing momentum towards practices that align with the agency mission and values as well as legal and ethical requirements
  • Work on ad hoc projects, routine assignments, and recurring tasks under the direction of Compliance leadership
