Requirements
  • Hold a French Baccalauréat or Brevet de Technicien Supérieur in Sales, or have successful experience as a delicatessen and cheese counter department manager in mass retail or in the traditional retail sector.
  • Have strong customer-relations and retail-sales abilities, including the ability to build customer trust and provide advice and added value.
  • Be passionate about the trade and the products.
  • Be dynamic, rigorous, organized, autonomous, and comfortable with field-based duties.
  • Be available to work Monday through Sunday in half-day shifts.
Responsibilities
  • Become familiar with the delicatessen and cheese counter department, company processes, and the team during the onboarding period.
  • Take responsibility for the delicatessen and cheese counter department as a strategic profit center and key customer destination.
  • Welcome customers and sell products.
  • Manage orders, product rotation, stock, and department presentation in compliance with applicable delicatessen and cheese activity standards.
  • Define the product range according to seasonality.
  • Manage procurement, inventory, shrinkage, and product and promotion placement.
  • Manage the department's operating results, including revenue, margin, purchasing, and inventory.
  • Determine a commercial strategy and set appropriate selling prices.
  • Use the department's management information system.
  • Define department layouts and promotional activities.
  • Manage supplier relationships in accordance with the store's commercial and marketing policy.
  • Participate in sales with the team and ensure compliance with hygiene standards and applicable regulations.
  • Guarantee product quality and the quality of service provided to customers.
  • Supervise and motivate a team of employees and maintain a positive working environment.
