Bitdefender launches GravityZone Exposure Management to map attack paths and cut risks

Bitdefender has launched GravityZone Exposure Management, a tool that shows organisations their internal and external security weaknesses and helps fix them. It puts findings in a single view, aiming to ease the load on small security teams as AI speeds up attacks. The product finds unpatched software, insecure settings, and risky user behaviour, then ranks risks and maps routes an attacker could take to critical assets. It also learns normal user activity and restricts tools that attackers abuse, such as PowerShell. In a survey of 1,200 practitioners, the top barriers to reducing the attack surface were high overhead in maintaining hardening rules (38%), fear of operational disruption (35.4%), and limited resources (34.6%). It is available now on Windows, as an add-on to GravityZone Business Security Enterprise or as a standalone offer.

Bitdefender launches Sovereign Acceleration Program for EU cybersecurity data control

Bitdefender has launched its Sovereign Acceleration Program to help European organisations transition to fully EU-based cybersecurity solutions. The programme ensures customer data, security events, and telemetry remain within EU jurisdiction and are never processed outside the European Union. The initiative addresses growing demand for data sovereignty, with 85% of organisations rating digital and AI sovereignty as very or extremely important, according to a February 2026 IDC poll. Bitdefender criticised competitors for "sovereignty washing" — claiming EU compliance whilst maintaining non-EU operational control. The programme combines Bitdefender's GravityZone security platform with sovereign European cloud infrastructure through partnerships with providers including OVHcloud and secunet. It offers endpoint protection, detection and response, and managed security services entirely within EU boundaries. Bitdefender is providing contract buyouts and migration support to qualified organisations, particularly those in public sector, financial services, healthcare, and critical infrastructure sectors operating under GDPR, NIS2, and DORA regulations.

Bitdefender launches RealCheck deepfake detector to combat predicted $40B fraud losses by 2027

Bitdefender has launched RealCheck, a standalone deepfake detection solution for Android and iOS devices. The app analyses video content from social media platforms including X, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok to assess manipulation likelihood and malicious intent. Users submit video links or files for multi-layered analysis, receiving detailed reports that evaluate deception risk segment by segment rather than simple yes-no verdicts. The solution identifies impersonated public figures and allows users to share reports with others. Bitdefender RealCheck is available now in 14 countries, including the US, UK and Australia. Pricing starts at $4.99 monthly for 200 checks, with a premium tier at $12.99 monthly for 600 checks. Both plans include a seven-day free trial. The launch comes as Deloitte predicts generative AI could drive fraud losses to $40 billion in the US by 2027.

Bitdefender powers Swisscom's router-level cybersecurity against 30+ daily home network attacks

Bitdefender has integrated its security technology into Swisscom's new home network protection solution, delivering cybersecurity directly through the router. The collaboration addresses growing threats to connected households, which now average 22 devices and face over 30 attempted network attacks daily. The Smart Home Security technology provides network-level defence against malware, phishing and other threats for all connected devices, including laptops, smartphones and IoT devices, without requiring individual device installation. A Bitdefender survey of 7,000 consumers found 58% don't use third-party security on computers and 82% lack protection on tablets. The integration operates seamlessly in the background whilst maintaining performance. Swisscom, Switzerland's leading telecommunications provider, employs around 23,000 people and serves customers across multiple markets.
