Housekeeping Executive - Fairmont Agra

Job Description

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations and ensure all guest rooms and public areas maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in accordance with Fairmont's quality guidelines
• Supervise, train, and mentor housekeeping staff, conducting regular inductions and performance evaluations to foster a culture of excellence and professional development
• Conduct thorough room inspections and quality audits to verify compliance with established cleaning standards and address any deficiencies promptly
• Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, ensuring cost-effective procurement and optimal stock availability
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering departments to address repairs, maintenance issues, and ensure timely resolution of guest-reported concerns
• Respond to guest requests and complaints with professionalism and courtesy, implementing service recovery measures to enhance guest satisfaction
• Maintain comprehensive records and reports on housekeeping activities, including occupancy rates, staffing schedules, and maintenance logs
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and waste management procedures
• Plan and execute deep cleaning projects and seasonal maintenance tasks to preserve the property's condition and appearance
• Collaborate with front office, guest services, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordinated service delivery
• Monitor and manage departmental budgets, controlling labour costs and operational expenses whilst maintaining service quality
• Implement and promote sustainable housekeeping practices and environmental responsibility initiatives across the department

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of housekeeping management experience in a luxury hotel environment
• Strong knowledge of hospitality industry standards, quality guidelines, and best practices
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Proficiency in housekeeping management systems and hotel property management software
• Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including chemical handling and waste management procedures
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal abilities
