The role summary

As Linktree has become a global brand our service and infrastructure footprint has grown significantly. Reporting to the CTO, you will lead & manage a squad of Platform engineers. You will utilise your strengths in people and technical leadership to develop and grow teams of 3-8 engineers building the critical product features and integrations that are the future of Linktree. As their manager, you drive your team and the individuals within to do the greatest work of their career together, and your technical expertise will level everybody up around you.

We are growing quickly so you will have a big impact right away, helping us to build agile processes and designing the future of the engineering practice.

The role

• People Leadership - Lead, mentor, guide, and grow a team of Product Engineers

• Growth - Collaborate with the talent team to attract, hire and retain the best talent in the market

• Collaborate and build - Work with the other engineering leaders and Tech Leads to champion and evangelise the architectural vision for the platform as it continues to scale and evolve.

• Technical Leadership - Be a connector across engineering teams to drive sound technical decisions. Oversee the overall development life-cycle, from design/planning to implementation and support to maintain a high standard of software quality

• Scale - Monitor reliability and performance of all internal systems to suggest improvements

What we are looking for

• Proven experience leading and growing a team of engineers

• Experience growing a high performing engineering team

• Strong collaboration mindset

• Experience executing a technical vision at a team level

• Experience leading a product focused team is desirable

• Passionate about growth and scale, with an understanding of the ambiguity that can come with this

Linktree is committed to providing a competitive compensation package. Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $170,000-$240,000 in the San Francisco Bay or Los Angeles area. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate expertise, the scope of role and level, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

We are a global and diverse group offering a truly flexible and family friendly work environment. Kids, pets, and the occasional delivery person are all actively encouraged to appear on our Zoom screens. All of us at Linktree work either fully remote or a flex hybrid approach.

We offer autonomy and flexibility in how you structure your days and weeks. There will be the need for some collaboration outside of your usual 9-5 being a global company, but we aim to work asynchronously where possible.
