Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required; a degree in Sciences or Engineering is preferred.
  • At least five years of professional experience in compliance, quality systems, and/or internal auditing within a regulated industry is required.
  • Previous experience leading teams or projects is required.
  • Strong technical writing skills in English and Spanish are required.
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively in English and Spanish is required.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and with Quality Management Systems such as TrackWise is required.
  • Ability to organize and analyze information and apply practical mathematics, including fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, and basic algebra, to identify organizational, customer, and regulatory problems and formulate corrective action plans is required.
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulations and standards, including Good Manufacturing Practice, Good Distribution Practice, and ISO standards, is required.
  • Ability to motivate, train, and develop staff is required.
  • Ability to analyze data and performance metrics is required.
  • Decision-making capability is required.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the creation, revision, and enforcement of all aspects of Mentor and assigned client facilities' Quality Management Systems, or facilitate integration and ongoing oversight when Mentor operates within a client's Quality Management System.
  • Lead event-management and root-cause-analysis processes.
  • Oversee training programs and lead inspection-readiness and vendor-management programs.
  • Lead the review and administration of quality service-level agreements and Quality Management Systems as they relate to quality and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure client requirements are met.
  • Establish objectives, mentor direct reports, and manage resources to ensure successful execution of the Quality Management System.
  • Support the design, execution, and maintenance of quality system processes within respective departments.
  • Coordinate training for operating-procedure changes and new system implementations.
  • Recommend, implement, and direct modifications to operational methods and practices and the overall strategy to enhance department effectiveness.
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of quality systems, including data analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain independence and oversight for client documentation review and approval.
  • Review and approve protocols and final reports and escalate deviations from performance standards to management.
  • Monitor and manage client corrective and preventive actions, nonconformances, and customer complaints.
  • Manage the writing and review of operating procedures to ensure compliance, efficiency, and clarity.
  • Write and review quality system work instructions.
  • Conduct or support audit-finding investigations, including mitigation, corrective actions, and preventive actions, and collaborate with department managers on sustainable remediation plans.
  • Lead continuous-improvement projects across multiple sites.
  • Participate in assigned quality-facilities projects.
  • Implement quality-compliance and harmonization processes across multiple sites.
  • Act as a point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal employees regarding contracts and compliance requests.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to achieve industry and customer compliance requirements.
  • Manage regulatory activities, including external and internal audits, investigations, and corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure employees adhere to client-established standard operating procedures.
  • Manage an internal audit process to ensure adherence to client standard operating procedures.
  • Travel to support clients and operations as required.
