Level Access named a Leader in the inaugural Gartner(R) Magic Quadrant(TM) for Digital Accessibility.

Level Access named a Leader in the inaugural Gartner(R) Magic Quadrant(TM) for Digital Accessibility. Oct 16, 2026, 08:16 ET Company positioned highest in Ability to Execute among all vendors evaluated STAFFORD, Va., Oct. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Level Access, a global provider of digital accessibility solutions, has been named a Leader in the first Gartner(R) Magic Quadrant(TM) for Digital Accessibility Platforms, and was positioned highest in Ability to Execute among all vendors evaluated.[1] "AI is building the digital world faster than any team can manually audit for accessibility, and that exposure compounds with every release," said Mark Zablan, Chief Executive Officer of Level Access. "Whether a product is truly accessible, and whether organizations can show the evidence, is now a question buyers, regulators, and customers are all asking. The most recognizable brands in the world have trusted us with that call for 25 years." The problem behind the category is getting worse. WebAIM's annual analysis of the top one million home pages found Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2 failures on 95.9% of them in 2026, up from 94.8% a year earlier, ending six consecutive years of improvement.[2] Level Access research published this month found that among professionals using AI in the software development life cycle (SDLC), 99% say it sped up at least one stage of building software, while only 30% say it sped up testing.[3] As building outpaces checking, organizations need support to embed accessibility accountability across their existing AI-enabled workflows. According to its website, when deciding to create a Magic Quadrant(TM), "Gartner selects markets that are established, distinct and viable, where comparative vendor analysis is valuable to clients."[4] We believe this focus on digital accessibility reflects a category that has become a condition of doing business: Enterprises increasingly require evidence of accessibility before they purchase, and laws including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the European Accessibility Act (EAA) have increased legal expectations and enforcement scrutiny, driving more organizations to make accessibility a priority. People with disabilities in the U.S. also represent roughly $675 billion in annual spending power, and organizations building experiences that don't work for them miss out on that reachable market.[5] Human judgment stays in the loop Closing that gap takes more than automation alone. WCAG 2.2 is explicitly designed to be testable through a combination of automated testing and human evaluation. Human judgment is part of how the standard works, not a layer added on top of it. Eighty-nine percent of professionals surveyed say humans need to stay closely involved as AI use expands.[3] "Accessibility has always been evaluated after the fact, once something is already built and in front of people, but AI and agentic workflows have collapsed the time teams have to look," said Andrew Chung, Chief Product Officer of Level Access. "We're building the accessibility layer for development workflows so defects can be addressed earlier, before code is committed, inside the tools teams already use, held to the same standard our experts have always applied." What the platform does The Level Access Platform brings that expertise into the tools organizations already use to build, embedding accessibility guidance directly into existing development workflows. Accessibility needs an authority. Why Gartner named us a Leader.

Accessibility needs an authority. Why Gartner named Level Access, Inc. a Leader. Oct 16, 2026 Level Access has been named a Leader in the inaugural Gartner(R) Magic Quadrant(TM) for Digital Accessibility Platforms, published October 5, 2026. This is the first time Gartner has evaluated this market through Magic Quadrant methodology, which means organizations choosing an accessibility platform now have an independent evaluation to work from. Gartner does not publish a Magic Quadrant for every market. Level Access, Inc. believe its arrival is a signal in itself: Digital accessibility has reached a level of maturity and enterprise importance that makes direct competitive evaluation meaningful. This report also comes at a time of rapid transformation in how teams approach accessibility. With adoption of AI now almost universal, teams are increasingly seeking accessibility solutions that fit inside their existing AI-enabled workflows. So, what exactly is a Magic Quadrant and what has changed to bring digital accessibility to this point? What does the Gartner evaluation tell Level Access, Inc. about where the category is heading, and what does its recognition mean for the teams responsible for accessibility day to day? This is the story behind the announcement. Key insights. * A Magic Quadrant is a Gartner report of the vendors in a market, evaluated on two axes: Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision. * Level Access, Inc. believe Gartner only publishes a Magic Quadrant once a market is mature enough that buyers need help choosing between vendors. * From its perspective, the release of the first-ever Magic Quadrant signals that digital accessibility is no longer a specialist concern, but an operational priority. * AI has widened the gap between what teams build and what they make accessible. Tooling alone can't close it. Without human judgment, teams ship risk as fast as they ship releases. Why Gartner built this Magic Quadrant now. A Magic Quadrant is a Gartner report of the vendors in a market, scored on two axes: Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision. Vendors are recognized as Leaders, Challengers, Visionaries, and Niche Players. Level Access, Inc. feel that Gartner doesn't build a Magic Quadrant for every market, and it only builds one once a market is distinct, mature and competitive enough for comparative vendor analysis to be of value to buyers. How accessibility reached its turning point. The market did not arrive here overnight. Accessibility has been climbing the business agenda for years. Regulation tightened. Enforcement became harder to ignore. Procurement also shifted. In its latest State of Digital Accessibility Report, 83% of organizations say they now require documented proof of accessibility from vendors before buying digital products, up from 75% a year ago. 42% require it every time. What was once treated as a specialist concern moved into the way organizations buy, build, and deliver digital products. And then AI changed the pace. AI has made the accessibility problem move faster. AI has raised the stakes in an already-maturing market. Design, planning, and building now move at a pace that was impossible 18 months ago. Validation hasn't kept up. While 61% of professionals say AI accelerated design, just 30% say the same about QA and testing. As more work passes through AI-assisted and agentic workflows, that gap only widens. When accessibility sits at the end of the development cycle, teams face a difficult decision: ship with accessibility risk or make accessibility a bottleneck. Without human judgment, AI will keep learning from a web that was already broken. This year, WebAIM found that 95.9% of the world's top one million home pages contained detectable accessibility failures, reversing six consecutive years of improvement. Unresolved accessibility gaps are now being carried forward into the next generation of digital products at the velocity and scale of AI itself. The market needs an authority on what accessible means. Detection tooling has become abundant, but tooling has shown its limits. Scanning can surface accessibility issues at scale, but detection is the starting point, not the standard. The hardest accessibility calls sit in the gap between technical conformance and human experience. A product may technically conform to accessibility standards and still fail the person using it. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) makes the same distinction: no automated tool can determine accessibility on its own. Human judgment is still required to establish whether an experience works for the user. That gap is widening as delivery accelerates. Teams can now ship accessibility risk as quickly as they ship new releases, making human validation and judgment more important than ever. Level Access: Your accessibility layer for the AI era. For 25 years, Level Access has been built on the conviction that accessibility takes both technology and human expertise. As AI takes on more of the work of designing, building and shipping digital experiences, that human judgment becomes the accountability layer AI can't provide for itself. Keep your AI stack. The future of accessibility work doesn't belong solely to AI agents or human experts. It belongs to teams that harness AI with judgment, assurance and accountability built in. That's the operating model Level Access has spent decades building for its customers. Level Access, Inc. bring together intelligent automation, connected workflows, and human expertise so your teams can identify risk, resolve accessibility issues in-flow, and ship with confidence. Level Access, Inc. believe its recognition as a Leader reflects the strength of that model: accessibility assurance built into how your team already works. For you, it means a partner equipped for the demands of today and for where accessibility is heading next. Gartner attribution and disclaimer.
