  • Significant relevant experience in accounts payable within a global and complex organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Senior level of management and leadership experience within a diverse, global and distributed workforce.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Global Accounts Payable team and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments and expense reports.
  • Monitor and analyze accounts payable processes and recommend improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage direct reports, including hiring, coaching, mentoring, development, performance management and all other people-management practices.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of appropriate end-of-year tax forms for independent contractors, e.g. 1099, T4A.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Procurement, to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices.
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes related to payments or invoices.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end close processes.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of accounts payable processes and controls including providing recommendations for improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain and optimize key accounts payable metrics.
  • Maintain internal control processes and documentation for the accounts payable portion of the Procure to Pay process.
  • Collaborate on audits and provide documentation and support as needed.
