Diebold Nixdorf Q3 revenue rises 5% as retail jumps 16%; $250M buyback announced

Diebold Nixdorf posted 5% revenue growth in the third quarter, driven by a 16% rise in its retail segment. Profit was held back by a shift to lower-margin products and higher component costs. Memory cost inflation created a net headwind of about $25 million for the year. The company revised its full-year outlook to a "measured view" because retail products made up more of sales than expected and banking product volumes were lower than planned. It expects full-year free cash flow conversion of 40% to 45%. Diebold Nixdorf announced a $250 million share repurchase authorisation, its largest to date. It also began a collaboration with Euronet to offer integrated ATM outsourcing, and is winding down its banking business in Turkey in the fourth quarter.

Diebold Nixdorf shares fall 10% as memory costs force 2026 EPS guidance cut to $4.50-$4.85

Diebold Nixdorf shares fell 10% after the company cut its 2026 outlook, even though third-quarter results beat estimates. Chief executive officer Octavio Marquez blamed "elevated component costs, particularly around memory." Revenue rose 5% to $994.3 million, ahead of the $971.7 million consensus. Adjusted earnings per share (EPS) were $1.34 against an estimated $1.31. Adjusted EPS guidance now stands at $4.50 to $4.85, down from $5.25 to $5.75. Free cash flow is expected at $190 million to $210 million, down from $255 million to $270 million. Retail was hit hardest. Its product gross margin fell to 14.2% from 20.4% a year earlier. Marquez put this year's component cost hit at about $25 million. Diebold also announced a $250 million buyback.

Diebold Nixdorf trims 2026 revenue outlook to $3.9B and launches $250M share buyback

Diebold Nixdorf lowered its full-year outlook after what it called "solid" third-quarter results reported on October 28. The North Canton-based ATM, banking, and retail services company now expects 2026 revenue of $3.86 billion to $3.9 billion, down from $3.86 billion to $3.94 billion. It cut its earnings per share forecast from above $5 to a range of $4.50 to $4.85. Third-quarter revenue rose 5% year-over-year, led by retail, but gross profit fell 3% as memory chip and raw material costs weighed on profitability. The board authorised a new $250 million share buyback. The $200 million programme announced in November 2025 is nearly complete. Chief executive officer Octavio Marquez also said the company is in the early stages of a partnership with Euronet on ATM outsourcing.
