Requirements
  • At least 10 years of prior work-related experience in aircraft records or as an aircraft technical representative.
  • At least 6 years of experience performing relevant qualifications and responsibilities with a Part 121 carrier.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Federal or National Aviation Authority regulations concerning aircraft, engines, and appliances, including continued airworthiness, configuration control, and pertinent client manuals.
  • Extensive mastery of the technical-focus-area skills, with the ability to teach and mentor others.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including framing problems, selecting frameworks, developing hypotheses and solutions, leading team discussions, and securing team, client, and project buy-in.
  • High attention to detail when manipulating, reconciling, or managing large volumes of data.
  • Proficiency in database management and auditing, including adapting, manipulating, or developing tools for the area of expertise.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, spreadsheet applications, Outlook, and Word, and general knowledge of Google Drive.
  • Working knowledge of client-based maintenance tracking systems, including Wizard, Merlin, Trax, Maintenix, and AMOS.
  • Demonstrated and continually developing project management skills, including work planning, progress tracking, prioritization, risk mitigation, and deadline management.
  • Effective written, verbal, presentation, and meeting-facilitation skills, including creating logical storylines, tailoring communications, active listening, and adapting to others’ cues.

Responsibilities
  • Operate as an advanced-level specialist in aircraft records, continued airworthiness, configuration control, and the broader aviation maintenance environment.
  • Establish work methods, quality standards, and review processes and ensure adherence.
  • Lead defined workstreams by developing workplans, tracking progress, prioritizing work, and promptly raising risks or issues.
  • Mentor, train, and provide actionable feedback to specialists in the technical focus area while balancing delegation, direct content support, team efficiency, and development opportunities.
  • Serve as a quality approver for internal and client-ready deliverables and take accountability for personal output and the output of others.
  • Build and nurture relationships with clients, key stakeholders, and colleagues across capabilities.
  • Travel nationally and internationally as required to support clients.
  • Lead the design and execution of technical analyses performed by junior team members, providing direction, review, and approval.
  • Interpret, audit, and verify Airworthiness Directives and methods of compliance.
  • Determine the applicability of Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.
  • Verify time since new and time used on life-limited parts and hard-time components installed on engines, landing gear, and airframes.
  • Perform and review back-to-birth traceability for life-limited components installed on airframes, engines, and landing gear.
  • Verify aircraft documentation for proper sign-off, parts certificates, nondestructive testing records, and vendor approvals.
  • Research and resolve aircraft-records issues, escalating them to appropriate work groups when necessary.
  • Analyze and review minor and major repair records to verify installation and compliance.
  • Evaluate Supplemental Type Certificates for installation and compliance.
  • Use technical knowledge, computer models, and databases to develop practical solutions for clients.
  • Use client-based maintenance tracking systems, including Wizard, Merlin, Trax, Maintenix, and AMOS, for research, updates, and data input.
  • Remain directly involved in complex, high-risk, or judgment-intensive work while delegating routine production and ensuring adherence to agreed processes.

  • Airframe and Powerplant License, preferred but not required unless acting as Technical Representative.

US employers plan 3.2% merit pay rises for 2027 amid economic uncertainty

US employers plan to maintain moderate salary increases in 2027, according to Marsh's Mercer QuickPulse survey of 1,001 organisations. Base salary merit increases are projected at 3.2%, with total salary increases at 3.5%, marking four consecutive years of similar rates. Economic uncertainty continues influencing compensation decisions, with 57% of employers expecting at least moderate impact. High Tech (3.8%), Banking (3.7%), and Energy (3.6%) lead in merit budgets, whilst Consumer Goods (2.9%) and Healthcare (3.0%) lag behind. Employers expect to promote 8.4% of their workforce in 2027, down from 8.6% in 2026. Off-cycle salary adjustments remain common, with 64% of organisations providing them. AI adoption in compensation planning is growing, with 70% of organisations reporting some automation, primarily for market pricing recommendations and benchmarking.

Marsh beats Q1 estimates with $7.6B revenue, $3.29 EPS as organic growth hits 5%

Marsh reported Q1 revenue of $7.6 billion, up 7.6% year-over-year, beating the consensus estimate of $7.38 billion by 2.88%. Earnings per share came in at $3.29, compared to $3.06 in the prior-year quarter, surpassing the consensus estimate of $3.21 by 2.46%. Key metrics showed mixed performance against analyst expectations. Consolidated organic revenue growth of 5% exceeded the 3.5% estimate, whilst consulting organic growth of 5% topped the 4.4% forecast. However, Guy Carpenter's organic growth of 2% fell short of the 4.2% estimate. Geographically, Marsh's EMEA division generated $1.21 billion in revenue, up 14.1% year-over-year and beating estimates. Mercer consulting revenue reached $1.66 billion, an 11% increase that surpassed the $1.58 billion consensus.
