What you’ll do

Lead and inspire a team of engineers (Smart Meter Engineers/Electricians) to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Collaborate with our Talent Team to bring the best people into the business and build your team.
Ensure your team has the skills, support, mentoring, and equipment needed to excel, working with suppliers and experts to meet these requirements.
Design processes and ways of working for engineers to consistently deliver outstanding customer service.
Inspire your team to contribute to our zero-carbon journey, encouraging creativity and efficiency improvements.
Coach and develop your team, creating an environment where engineers can grow and thrive.
Support Operations Managers in executing business strategy, building the team, and driving strong performance and customer service.
Work with the Technical Assurance team to ensure quality installations and meet accreditation standards.
Ensure exceptional customer experiences, resolving issues in person where needed.

What you’ll need

Experience leading and inspiring teams in operational or engineering roles to deliver top-tier customer service.
Proven experience managing engineers in a field-based environment, either onsite or in customer homes.
Relevant industry experience, ideally in utilities, energy, electrical, renewables, or smart metering.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to deliver quickly in a fast-paced, lean environment.
Ability to stay calm under pressure, with excellent organizational skills and resilience.
Strong networking and collaboration skills, delivering with a focus on quality, safety, and customer experience.
Excellent people skills, attention to detail, and creative thinking.
Proactive in anticipating needs and productive in your work approach.
Willingness to travel to support engineers, attend training sessions, and meet with customers, partners, and suppliers.
