Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- The candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- The candidate must be able to tolerate physical exertion and work in a hot environment.
- The candidate must be able to move fully, including bending, lifting, and climbing stairs without assistance.
- The candidate must pass a drug test and background check upon hiring.
Responsibilities
- Act as an apprentice and assistant on the welding team.
- Work with CNC milling machines, lathes, and grinders.
- Read and correctly interpret computer-aided design diagrams for fabrication and assembly.
- Apply knowledge of the welding process.
- Perform aluminum and cast-iron welding.
- Observe the general operation of installed equipment or systems to identify the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a certification program or an associate degree is preferred.
- Maintenance experience is preferred.
- Being detail-oriented and self-motivated is preferred or desired.
