Two to five years of progressive Information Technology experience, including at least two projects in technical areas such as networking and/or Cisco Video Tele-Conferencing.
At least one project must have occurred within the past three years.
Additional experience in video teleconferencing, including deployment, troubleshooting, and supporting video teleconferencing systems in a dynamic environment.
Must possess a current, active Top Secret security clearance.
Must possess a current, active IAT II certification, such as Security+, or higher certification.
U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions (CCNA) v1.0 certification is required at minimum.
Responsibilities
Work under general supervision.
Design, configure, manage, and troubleshoot the telecom and collaboration architecture.
Develop requirements to resolve or address current infrastructure deficiencies caused by changing environmental demands.
Perform aspects of project management and communicate project status to project stakeholders.
Install and configure new devices, submitting engineering change requests to request IP addresses, ports, and virtual machines when necessary.
Work with data center points of contact to secure rack space, power, and connectivity.
Develop required specifications to submit solutions for simple, moderate, and complex problems.
Coordinate with the vendor project manager, contracting officer's technical representatives, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.
Provide input to short- and long-term strategies and participate in budget planning.
Perform at or above the Telecom Network Junior Engineer and VTC Lead equivalencies when capable.
Perform above or below the acting grade or position when necessary.
Desired Qualifications
