What You’ll Do
The Walt Disney Company and Epic Games are collaborating on an all-new games and entertainment universe.
In addition to being a world-class games experience, this new persistent universe will offer a multitude of opportunities for consumers to play, watch, and engage with content, characters, and stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar, and more.

Epic is looking for a talented Senior Concept Artist to help build several initiatives as part of our collaboration with Disney. As a Senior Concept Artist, you will work with the development teams to create memorable and compelling characters that exude personality and style. You will use your expertise in color, composition, shape, and visual design to help push our iconic visuals. Your craft expertise in character design will inspire you to continue pushing the boundaries of creating memorable experiences for our players.
In this role, you will
- Collaborate closely with the Art Director, Creative Director, and core development team to drive and visualize many different types of content across several initiatives with Disney IPs
- Create a diversity of character designs within the Disney IP
- Use your understanding of the design process to solve visual problems and create world-class characters
- Create designs that translate well into game-ready assets
- Inspire and mentor other Concept Artists and Outsource Vendors
- Provide timely and detailed feedback for the concept art team and outsourcing vendors
- Collaborate with other art, design, and production teams to help accomplish the goals of the product
What we’re looking for
- 7 + years experience in the game industry working in AAA game development
- Worked on at least one AAA game in a Senior/Principal Concept Art role
- A portfolio that demonstrates a range of styles, creativity, and craftsmanship
- Deep understanding of fundamental art principles (color, composition, value/ lighting, form)
- Strong understanding of the design process
- Effective leader, collaborator, and problem solver able to coordinate with internal and external teams
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to accurately estimate tasks and maintain schedules
- Strong communication skills and understanding of various art disciplines (animation, character, environment, VFX)

Pay Transparency Information
The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
California Base Pay Range
$155,111—$227,495 USD
Washington Base Pay Range
$148,060—$217,154 USD
