Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. MBA a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in performance marketing and analytics
  • Demonstrated success in driving customer acquisition through creative and efficient media strategies in the streaming / subscription industry
  • Expertise in a range of digital channels, including paid social, search, programmatic, and CTV, with a focus on funnel optimization, incrementality and ROAS
  • Strong analytical mindset with a deep understanding of key metrics (CAC, LTV, ROAS, Incremental Lift) and the ability to use data to inform and optimize strategy
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar annual media budgets and allocating resources for maximum impact
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to present ideas, results, and strategies to executive leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Segment, Salesforce, and media buying platforms (Google, Microsoft, Meta, etc)
  • Must be comfortable in ambiguity and solutions-oriented.
Responsibilities
  • Own paid media strategy and execution. Lead the planning, development, and execution of data-driven media buying strategies, with a focus on optimizing acquisition costs and maximizing incremental new subscriber growth across existing and new channels.
  • Obsess over incrementality. Focus on audience segmentation and targeting, creative testing, and more to incrementally improve acquisition and conversion across established and up-and-coming channels. Use data and analytics to measure the incremental lift of campaigns, make data-driven optimizations, and adjust plans based on insights and performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across the business in service of growth. At PlayOn, Growth is a team sport. Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, design, and finance partners in service of new growth initiatives to improve upper funnel conversion and deliver a consistent and powerful a brand experience for our fans. Where necessary, lead cross-functional initiatives to get new projects launched.
  • Oversee your media budgets. Oversee the media budget allocation, ensuring spend efficiency and ROI while exploring high-impact opportunities for growth. Regularly analyze and report on budget performance, adjusting strategies to achieve or exceed OKR targets.
  • Manage external vendors and partners. Build and maintain relationships with media partners and tech vendors to stay ahead of industry trends, secure advantageous partnerships, and implement the latest tools and technologies.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our fans. Leverage research and insights to refine audience targeting and develop a strong understanding of customer behavior and buyer journeys in the streaming subscription space.
  • Lead a world-class team. Develop and manage performance marketing talent within your team to maximize growth for the company.
