Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience with environmental field sampling, monitoring, and data collection.
  • Experience with wetland delineation and habitat assessments.
  • Strong technical writing and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform field work on active construction sites and remote locations.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate field activities while maintaining a strong commitment to health and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, scientists, and clients to achieve project objectives.
  • Conduct inspections of stormwater control measures at construction sites and commercial facilities to assess compliance with applicable regulations and permits.
  • Conduct wetland delineations in accordance with the current U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual and applicable regional supplements.
  • Perform stream assessments, ordinary high-water mark determinations, and aquatic resource evaluations.
  • Conduct habitat assessments and biological resource surveys as needed.
  • Maintain accurate field records and documentation of environmental investigations.
  • Analyze environmental data and prepare technical reports and findings.
  • Support environmental compliance and due diligence projects for public and private sector clients.
  • Develop proposals and manage project budgets under project manager oversight.
Desired Qualifications
  • A 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • Knowledge of stormwater permitting and compliance inspections.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS.
