Skims names Kim Schraub chief brand officer and Erin Magee chief design officer. August 24, 2026 A fashion and pop culture writer who watches a lot... Skims is expanding its creative leadership team with two newly created executive positions, promoting longtime creative director Kim Schraub to chief brand officer and appointing Erin Magee as chief design officer. The moves give the rapidly growing intimates and lifestyle brand separate leadership across its overall brand identity and product design as it continues expanding into new categories and international markets. The appointments mark an important change to the creative structure of Skims, which was cofounded by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede in 2019. Schraub has been with the company since its earliest days, helping establish the visual identity that has become closely associated with the brand. Magee, meanwhile, joins after serving as chief creative officer at Supreme, bringing experience across fashion, product development and streetwear. Kim Schraub promoted to chief brand officer. Schraub will take on a broader role as chief brand officer, overseeing how Skims presents itself across its various consumer touchpoints. Her responsibilities will include retail, campaigns, collaborations and storytelling, in addition to continuing to shape the overall creative direction of the business. The new position builds on Schraub's work as Skims' creative director since 2019. She has played a central role in developing the company's design and creative vision across product, packaging and campaigns since its inception. "Kim has been with us since before Skims existed. She helped turn an idea into a brand that people genuinely love," Kardashian said in announcing the promotion. She added that Schraub's creative instincts have helped shape how the company appears in the world and that the new role reflects the impact she has had on the business. Grede similarly described the promotion as a natural progression of the creative leadership Schraub has provided since joining the company. Before Skims, Schraub spent seven years as brand director at Yeezy, where she led design, concept and brand direction. Her work included the Adidas partnership as well as merchandise and pop-up projects connected to "Yeezus," "Kids See Ghosts" and "The Life of Pablo." She also worked on packaging, concepts and campaigns for KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance. Earlier in her career, Schraub served as executive vice president of design and concept at Victoria's Secret Pink. She began her career at Abercrombie & Fitch, where she worked across Abercrombie, Hollister and kids' categories. Erin Magee joins as chief design officer. While Schraub will oversee the broader brand, Erin Magee will take responsibility for product as chief design officer. Her new position will cover design and creative product direction across Skims' growing categories and markets. Magee most recently served as chief creative officer at Supreme, where she led creative vision, design, product development and product strategy across apparel, accessories, collaborations and special projects. She also founded the women's fashion label MadeMe in 2007. Her experience makes the appointment particularly notable as Skims continues moving beyond its original focus on shapewear and intimates. The company now sells underwear, loungewear and shapewear for women, while its menswear offering, launched in 2023, has expanded the brand into another major category. "Erin brings an unparalleled creative vision and a proven ability to build brands that transcend fashion and become cultural touchstones," Grede said. "Her eye for design, her deep understanding of product and her instinct for what resonates make her exactly the right person to lead Skims into its next era." Kardashian also praised Magee's ability to maintain a distinctive creative perspective while staying connected to consumers. "I've admired Erin's work for years," Kardashian said. "The way she approaches design with such a strong point of view while staying completely connected to her audience is something I deeply respect." Skims continues its global expansion. The leadership changes come as Skims accelerates its physical and international expansion. The company sells through its website, permanent stores across the U.S., locations in Mexico City, London and Dubai, as well as select retailers globally. Its Regent Street flagship in London, which opened last month, spans approximately 12,000 square feet in one of the city's major shopping districts. The company is reportedly targeting 55 stores by the end of the year and more than 100 locations by the end of 2027. Skims has also continued building its presence outside traditional intimates. In 2023, the company announced a multiyear partnership with the NBA, becoming the official underwear partner of the NBA, WNBA and USA Basketball. The appointments of Schraub and Magee come shortly after Skims promoted Tracy Nguyen to chief communications officer. Nguyen continues to oversee global communications while taking on broader responsibility for entertainment, sports and brand partnerships. New leadership comes as Skims eyes its next stage. The creation of the two positions separates responsibilities that previously sat largely within the creative director role. Schraub will now focus on the wider Skims brand, while Magee will lead product design and creative direction. The changes come as Skims continues to attract attention as one of the fashion industry's potential IPO candidates. Grede recently said the company is not under pressure to go public, emphasizing that his focus remains on building the business and giving its investors flexibility over the company's future. For now, the priority appears to be continued expansion. With Kim Schraub taking on a larger role across the brand and Erin Magee leading product design, Skims is adding specialized creative leadership at a point when its ambitions extend well beyond its original category. The appointments position Schraub and Magee to help shape what comes next for Skims as the company adds stores, develops new products and builds its presence across global markets. Skims to open at Westfield London. Kim Kardashian's shapewear brand Skims is set to open its second standalone UK location at Westfield London early next year. The new Westfield London store will bring Skims' signature collections of shapewear, loungewear and underwear to the destination, marking its second store in the UK, joining the flagship location on London's Regent Street that opened in July. Home to more than 750 UK and international brands, Skims will join the likes of Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Sephora, Zara and John Lewis at the shopping centre. Constantin Wiesmann, director of leasing, Northern Europe at property developer and owner of Westfield Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW), said: "Skims is one of the most influential lifestyle brands in the world today, and its arrival at Westfield London is a strong endorsement of the destination's appeal to world-leading brands. "As consumer expectations continue to evolve, we're focused on bringing the most exciting global names to our centres and delivering a retail experience that continues to lead the market." Russell Banham, UK head of asset manager Commerz Real, added: "We are delighted to welcome Skims to Westfield London which will further enhance the unrivalled mix of premium brands already trading in the centre."
SKIMS selects Westfield London for second UK store. Tom Bottomley 20 August 2026 Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede's shapewear brand SKIMS has signed for a second UK store at Westfield London (White City), set to open in 2027, according to media reports today. It will add to last month's highly anticipated opening of SKIMS' first UK flagship store at 245-247 Regent Street, formerly occupied by Ted Baker, which was originally announced last year. The 12,000 sq ft flagship is currently offering the full SKIMS product range, including shapewear, underwear, loungewear, menswear and accessories, alongside seasonal collections and pieces from the NikeSKIMS collaboration. The Westfield London store will bring SKIMS' signature collections to West London and "further strengthen" the destination's fashion, sport and lifestyle offer. Constantin Wiesmann, Director of Leasing, Northern Europe at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, said: "SKIMS is one of the most influential lifestyle brands in the world today, and its arrival at Westfield London is a strong endorsement of the destination's appeal to world-leading brands. "As consumer expectations continue to evolve, we're focused on bringing the most exciting global names to our centres and delivering a retail experience that continues to lead the market." Last month, SKIMS opened a 6,200 sq ft store in the Dubai Mall, the brand's second and largest location in the UAE, while it also recently announced it will be launching in India via Reliance Brands, with stores planned in Delhi and Mumbai. Earlier this month, SKIMS appointed former Global Communications & Brand Partnerships Director at Victoria Beckham, Jasmine Sevan, as Vice President of Communications, reporting to Chief Communications Officer Tracy Nguyen.
Skims Doubles Down on the UK with second store opening. Just weeks after opening its first standalone UK store on London's iconic Regent Street, Kim Kardashian's Skims has announced plans for a second location at Westfield London, set to open early next year. For anyone working in retail or hospitality, this is another sign that global brands still see huge value in physical stores, even in an increasingly digital world. While online shopping continues to grow, customers are actively seeking experiences that allow them to interact with products, discover new brands, and connect with the lifestyle those brands represent. Skims has quickly become one of the most talked-about names in fashion and lifestyle, known for its inclusive approach to shapewear, underwear and loungewear. The decision to invest further in the UK market highlights the confidence the brand has in British shoppers and the continued appeal of premium retail destinations. The new Westfield London store will give customers another opportunity to experience the brand first-hand, something that online channels simply cannot fully replicate. The expansion is also a reminder of how fast-moving the retail landscape has become. Brands that create strong communities, build social media buzz, and deliver a seamless customer experience are finding opportunities for growth across the globe. Alongside its UK expansion, Skims has recently launched a flagship store in Dubai Mall and announced plans to enter India, with stores planned for Delhi and Mumbai. For retail and hospitality professionals, there are some valuable takeaways here. Customers increasingly expect more than just products, they want memorable experiences, personalised service, and brands that align with their values. Businesses that can combine great products with strong customer engagement are the ones continuing to win market share and attract loyal customers.
NikeSKIMS looks to be opening its first mainland China store this autumn. NikeSKIMS China store: Key takeaways * NikeSKIMS is preparing to open its first standalone mainland China store at Shanghai's HKRI Taikoo Hui this autumn * Its sculpting, fashion-led performance wear gives the brand a clear point of difference, but Lululemon retains a decade of community-building and retail experience in China * The Shanghai opening will test whether NikeSKIMS' strong initial interest can translate into sustained demand among Chinese consumers 'Coming Fall 2026' is splashed across hoardings under the name NikeSKIMS. That's the women's activewear brand that Nike has been building with Kim K's underwear/shapewear brand SKIMS. Its US response has been positive, and now they're eyeing up China. The brand's products span gym, studio and lifestyle wear. Footwear and accessories come into it too. As with other brands in the activewear industry, the proposition is workout clothes that function as everyday leisure clothing too. NikeSKIMS, however, stands apart with body-contour design and Nike's sport authority. Lululemon will be the brand's most direct competitor. In the US market, the two brands occupy overlapping premium price bands for basic items like sports bras and leggings. It's unlikely that pricing will change much for the Chinese market. NikeSKIMS will instead be competing on its ability to give women a Kardashian silhouette. The new store is in HKRI Taikoo Hui mall (兴业太古汇) on West Nanjing Road, Shanghai. Its neighbours will be some of global fashion's highest flyers. And before we even see open doors here, a partnership with Lane Crawford will put a store in Hong Kong's Times Square. That's rapid. The brand's first collection dropped just last autumn. The Dao view: Shanghai is a test of whether NikeSKIMS can work abroad. In the US, NikeSKIMS has earned its shot at a second season. Off the back of consumer interest, they've been snapping up floorspace and expanding their product offerings. Now they're showing real confidence. Without disclosed sales, its commercial impact remains harder to measure than its cultural one. Don't think of this Shanghai store as a victory lap. It's more like a test of whether the brand's sculpting, fashion-first take on performance wear travels.
