Requirements
  • At least 6 months of work experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Currently pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, with an expected graduation date after December 2027.
  • Strong programming experience with tools such as Python, Go, C++, Rust, Java, Spark, or similar technologies.
  • Hands-on experience developing machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions in research, academic, or industry environments.
  • Experience with supervised fine-tuning and post-training methodologies including reinforcement learning from human feedback, reinforcement learning from AI feedback, proximal policy optimization, direct preference optimization, and group relative policy optimization.
  • Experience training and deploying models in cloud environments, including Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with multi-agent architectures and orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Google's Agent Development Kit, and CrewAI.
  • Experience developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation applications and deploying intelligent agents.
  • Experience with distributed graphics processing unit training.
  • Experience with efficient model-tuning approaches such as Low-Rank Adaptation and Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including the ability to apply data analysis, modeling, visualization, statistics, research, and generative artificial intelligence to generate insights and support innovative solutions.
  • Ability to apply data and software engineering skills to design, develop, and deliver scalable solutions, and support data management and an enterprise mindset.
  • Ability to foster an inclusive environment and actively seek, apply, and respond to feedback in collaborative analytical settings.
  • Strong business acumen and commitment to supporting data-informed business outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop artificial-intelligence-powered advisors and decision-support systems that synthesize customer, relationship, market, and enterprise data to generate insights, recommendations, and actions.
  • Build generative artificial intelligence assistants and intelligent agents that leverage enterprise knowledge, reasoning, and workflow orchestration to support employees and customers.
  • Design and deploy agentic artificial intelligence and multi-agent systems that automate customer service, operational, and business processes through planning, task execution, and human-in-the-loop collaboration.
  • Create enterprise knowledge-intelligence platforms using Retrieval-Augmented Generation, large language models, multimodal artificial intelligence, and structured and unstructured data to support search, reasoning, decision support, and workflow automation.
  • Advance enterprise artificial intelligence through model training, evaluation, optimization, and deployment of large language models, speech technologies, and emerging foundation models.
  • Deploy scalable generative artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions that improve productivity, customer experience, risk management, decision-making, and operational efficiency.
  • Apply statistical and quantitative techniques to validate model design, calibration, and implementation.

Fed hikes rates to 3.75-4%, boosting Wells Fargo's NII outlook amid higher loan yields

The Federal Reserve raised interest rates by 25 basis points to 3.75–4% on 16 September 2026, its first increase since July 2023. The move could support Wells Fargo's net interest income (NII), as higher rates typically allow banks to earn greater yields on loans and interest-earning assets. Wells Fargo's NII rose 5.2% year-over-year in the first half of 2026, driven by lower deposit costs and stronger loan balances. The Fed's removal of the bank's asset cap in June 2025 has given Wells Fargo additional flexibility to expand lending. However, higher deposit costs and potential credit demand weakness may limit gains. Wells Fargo expects 2026 NII of $50 billion.

Snorkel AI raises $350M at $3.5B valuation as complex training data demand surges

Snorkel AI has raised $350 million at a $3.5 billion valuation, nearly triple its $1.3 billion valuation from May 2023. The San Francisco-based data startup's annualized revenue has surged to $350 million from roughly $20 million a year earlier, driven by its data-as-a-service business launched in September 2023. Founded in 2019 by Stanford AI lab researchers, Snorkel shifted from selling software to supplying finished datasets and reinforcement-learning environments for AI training. The company uses an "agentic data development platform" combining human experts with specialised AI models to create and verify training data across fields including coding, law and medicine. Led by Insight Partners and S32, the funding round included Addition, Greylock and Wells Fargo. Snorkel will use the capital to hire researchers and engineers whilst expanding enterprise and government operations. The company expects to reach profitability this year.

Form Energy closes $270M credit facility to scale iron-air battery production

Form Energy has closed a $270 million credit facility to support its energy storage technology development. The facility comprises a revolving credit facility and a tax credit advance facility linked to Section 45X Advanced Manufacturing Production Credit. An accordion feature allows the facility to expand to $1 billion. Barclays served as sole structuring bank, with Citi, Jefferies, JPMorgan Chase, RBC Capital Markets, Societe Generale, Stifel, and Wells Fargo participating in the lending syndicate. The financing follows Form Energy's $750 million Series G funding round in August, bringing total equity raised to over $2 billion. Proceeds will fund manufacturing scale-up and working capital as the company produces iron-air battery systems at its Weirton, West Virginia facility.
