About the job

Requirements
  • Fluent Ukrainian and working English are required; the role involves reading English technical documentation daily and communicating with an international engineering team.
  • Practical understanding of ArduPilot or PX4, including flight-controller configuration, parameter setup, working with MAVLink, and reading flight logs.
  • A solid grasp of practical electronics, including schematics, connectors, power distribution, serial interfaces such as UART, I²C, SPI, and Ethernet, and using a multimeter and oscilloscope to find faults.
  • Ability to calibrate devices using a documented procedure and repair them, including soldering, cable and connector repair, board swaps, and tracing faults to the faulty part.
  • Basic working knowledge of Linux, including SSH access, filesystem navigation, reading logs, editing configuration files, and running scripts.
  • Ability to analyze flight logs and identify issues such as faulty sensors, mis-set parameters, and control problems using data in the field between flights.
  • Confidence using AI assistants such as Claude and Claude Code, and a modern IDE, for log analysis, quick analysis scripts, unfamiliar code, and readable reports.
  • Methodical, evidence-driven troubleshooting and a habit of documenting work.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and field locations within Ukraine.
Responsibilities
  • Integrate Osiris onto customer UAV platforms, including mechanical mounting, power, wiring harnesses, and data links to the flight controller.
  • Configure and tune ArduPilot and other flight stacks to interoperate correctly with Osiris, including MAVLink routing, serial port and telemetry setup, parameter configuration, and failsafe behavior.
  • Calibrate Osiris units, including optical and sensor calibration, and validate system performance on the bench and in flight.
  • Diagnose and repair faulty units in the field and on the bench, including fault finding, cable and connector repair, module replacement, and post-repair verification against specifications.
  • Participate in ground and flight test campaigns and analyze results on site by reviewing ArduPilot and Osiris logs between flights.
  • Give customers and the engineering team immediate feedback during testing about results and causes of issues.
  • Diagnose issues to their root cause, including loose connectors, electromagnetic interference, parameter errors, and software bugs.
  • Produce test reports after each campaign covering what was flown, what logs show, and what failed and why, for customer and engineering use.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for customer engineering teams by answering questions, training their staff, and writing integration guides and wiring documentation.
  • Feed field findings back to the engineering team to improve product integrability over time.
  • Prepare and maintain integration kits, cabling, and test equipment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on fixed-wing UAV experience, including building, repairing, or flying UAVs.
  • Optics and camera experience, including lens selection, focus, distortion, and camera calibration.
  • Experience with single-board computers such as Raspberry Pi or Jetson, and Docker.
  • Basic Python for test scripting and log analysis, such as pymavlink.
  • CAD or 3D printing for mounts and brackets.
  • Prior work with defense or industrial customers.

What believers are saying

  • Delian closed a $14 million Series A on 29 July 2025, funding expansion.
  • Future Forces 2026 and DEFEA 2026 visibility strengthens NATO-aligned credibility.
  • Interceptigon-N launched on 9 September 2026, widening Delian's maritime strike story.

What critics are saying

  • A €4,838 Ministry of Defense contract on 24 April 2026 shows tiny revenue scale.
  • Selling surveillance and strike systems invites export controls, procurement delays, and reputational blowback.
  • Anduril and ICEYE dominate European defense-tech mindshare, compressing Delian's customer access window.

What makes Delian Alliance Industries unique

  • Former Lambda Automata, Delian combines in-house autonomy software with rapid hardware manufacturing.
  • Its portfolio spans surveillance towers, GPS-denied navigation, EW, and Interceptigon strike systems.
  • Greek roots and commercial off-the-shelf parts keep costs low versus U.S. primes.
