About the job
- A completed higher technical education (HTL, FH, or TU) in mechanical engineering or mechatronics is required.
- Sound knowledge of materials science, design, and manufacturing techniques is required.
- A secure working knowledge of 3D CAD tools such as Creo or equivalent systems is required.
- A willingness to undertake a multi-year stay abroad at one of the international subsidiaries after thorough training at headquarters is required.
- Very good written and spoken German and English are required.
- A self-directed, precise, and quality-oriented working style is required.
- Teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities are required.
- Develop innovative concepts to solve demanding metrology problems.
- Design and construct individual parts and assemblies through to complete measuring instruments.
- Perform analytical and simulation-supported design of individual parts and assemblies.
- Create manufacturing-ready drawings and maintain master data.
- Coordinate closely with mechanical manufacturing, purchasing, assembly, service, and product management to implement innovative solutions efficiently.
- Assemble, verify, and optimize prototypes to ensure optimal functionality.
- Guide prototypes into series production and provide technical support for series solutions with a high degree of personal responsibility.
- Act as the link between international subsidiaries and the corporate headquarters in Graz.
- Experience in design for manufacturing, including turning, milling, and sheet-metal processing, is desirable.
- A basic understanding of mechatronic aspects is desirable.
- Interest in metrology and sensors, and enjoyment of creative tinkering, are desirable.
- French language skills are advantageous.
