Requirements
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles in the government contracting sector.
  • Active designation as a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional through the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Deep knowledge of federal procurement regulations.
  • Experience with internal and external audits, including government-initiated audits.
  • Ability to advise executive leadership and manage enterprise-level risk.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of extended sitting or standing, computer-based typing and reading, bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting up to 30 pounds as necessary.
  • Availability during standard business hours and maintenance of a dedicated workspace.
Responsibilities
  • Develop the enterprise's compliance strategy in alignment with corporate objectives and government contracting requirements.
  • Oversee the Ethics Awareness and Compliance Program, including developing, implementing, and auditing policies and procedures for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards.
  • Maintain, regularly update, and distribute the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct to enterprise employees.
  • Ensure employees and new hires receive regular compliance and Code training during onboarding.
  • Monitor legislative, regulatory, and other external or internal changes affecting the Program and Code, and communicate their impact to executive leadership.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments and review the Program at least annually to reflect current requirements, business changes, and lessons learned.
  • Promote a culture of compliance, ethics, and accountability with enterprise leadership and key personnel.
  • Identify resources and data access needed to operate an effective compliance program.
  • Prepare, review, and submit regulatory filings and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Oversee internal reporting systems, including an anonymous and confidential hotline for suspected improper conduct.
  • Ensure internal reports are appropriately handled, resolved, and documented.
  • Investigate alleged violations of the Code or Program and develop mitigating corrective action when appropriate.
  • Oversee and implement policies and procedures for required government notifications and disclosures.
  • Report periodically to the C-suite and the parent company's Board of Directors on program effectiveness, program issues, and resource needs.
  • Provide additional duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • An advanced degree in law, public policy, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with Small Business Administration regulations is strongly preferred.
