Process Engineer
About the job
- A B.S. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent is required.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in process engineering or system integration is required.
- Hands-on experience with gas and/or water piping, valve selection, and fluid handling systems is required.
- Experience developing and deploying novel chemical or electrochemical systems is required.
- A solid understanding of Process Safety Management requirements, including PHA, HAZID, and HAZOP, is required.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including API, ASME, OSHA, EPA, and NFPA, is required.
- Willingness to frequently travel to customer sites is required.
- Experience managing product certification processes for hydrogen equipment, such as UL or TÜV SÜD, or willingness to do so, is required.
- Lead and optimize the process design of Fourier proprietary electrolyzer equipment stack-ups and supporting systems.
- Design and prototype tools to aid system deployment and commissioning; plan and integrate systems and ensure compatibility and startup at customer sites.
- Ensure Fourier electrolyzer equipment and processes meet and exceed customer and regulatory safety requirements and performance expectations.
- Collect and analyze process field data with the Software & Controls and Engineering teams to identify trends, intercept process issues, and improve system performance.
- Lead and troubleshoot engineering projects and resolve on-site issues.
- Coordinate and oversee third-party certifications for hydrogen systems, including preparing documentation and test plans and engaging with certifying bodies.
