- A valid Pennsylvania driver's license and a good driving record are required.
- Interns must successfully complete a background check and drug testing before beginning the internship.
- Accompany reporters on assignments.
- Participate in daily news meetings and contribute ideas.
- Make beat calls.
- Research and write stories.
- Accompany videographers and conduct interviews in the field.
- Run the teleprompter or studio camera for live newscasts.
- Organize graphics for newscasts.
- Edit video.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- A major in Broadcast Journalism or an equivalent Communications field is preferred.
- Writing skills, video editing skills, production skills, reporting skills, videography skills, camera operation skills, and operations technology knowledge are preferred qualifications.
- A demo reel is preferred.
