About the job

Requirements
  • Experience with audio visual, data, voice, networking, and fiber cabling.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Ability to keep abreast of industry trends, developments, and applicable government regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge.
  • At least 5 years of audio visual, low voltage, or control systems installation experience.
  • Ability to travel to project sites outside of the Tampa Bay Area.
  • Strong understanding of commercial audio visual systems, structured cabling, networking, and fiber optic infrastructure.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work any required shift or designated hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights and in confined spaces, and lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications or licenses for the duration of the project or contract.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with external customers, including government, military, and contractor personnel.
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment substance abuse testing and background checks.
Responsibilities
  • Terminate, test, solder, and dress all low-voltage cabling.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Use scissor lifts and boom lifts.
  • Train, mentor, and develop junior technicians.
  • Travel to project and user locations around the greater Tampa Bay Area.
  • Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, aerial or motorized lifts, and test equipment.
  • Operate motor vehicles as an essential job function while following traffic laws and company vehicle policies.
  • Perform work in indoor and outdoor environments, including varying temperatures, noise levels, and weather conditions.

  • OSHA 10/30 certification.
  • Certified Technology Specialist certification.
  • Crestron certification.
  • AMX certification.
  • Extron certification.
