Here at Hometap, we’re collaborative, passionate, and always ready to roll up our sleeves to create solutions that help people get more out of homeownership — and out of life. Our first product, a home equity investment, gives homeowners the opportunity to quickly access the equity they’ve built in their home to pay for what’s most important to them, from handling debt to finally making much-needed renovations, without taking on debt.
We work hard, and have some fun along the way, too. You don’t have to take our word for it:
The Boston Globe and
Comparably have recognized us as a great place to work, and we’ve been honored for our commitment to innovation in the fintech space by
BostInno,
HousingWire, and more!
In case you need any more convincing, we also provide competitive compensation, healthcare coverage, unlimited PTO, a generous share package, and a strong culture with plenty of opportunities for team-building and camaraderie.
Interested in joining us on our mission to make homeownership less stressful and more accessible? We’d love to talk.
As Product Rollout Manager at Hometap, you will help with the “final mile” of our software development. Great software doesn’t speak for itself, and you’ll be crafting internal positioning, coordinating launch schedules, and ensuring internal users understand what’s changing and why at all times. You are obsessed with finding just the right words to make a point, focused on every detail of a project, and passionate about helping users fall in love with software.
Reporting to the VP of Product, you will be responsible for giving every product rollout the best chance of success and ensuring that everyone at Hometap understands the business value and functionality of our releases.
Community is at the core of what we do at Hometap. While this role is fully remote, we’re prioritizing candidates who will be available to come to our Boston office occasionally for work sessions and events. If you feel you fit this category, we look forward to hearing from you!
Specifically, you’ll be:
- Creating and owning our internal launch playbook which gets used for all product rollouts, coordinating timelines across all scrum teams and stakeholders to ensure efficient and high quality product rollouts
- Partnering with members of the Sales & Operations and Operations Strategy teams on internal communications and relevant process changes
- Working with our documentation specialist to ensure our internal knowledge base and other materials stay up to date as our product and relevant user processes evolve
- On a project by project basis, coordinating with stakeholders to assign responsibilities and ensure execution including UAT participation and training materials preparation
- Owning our bi-weekly newsletter and release notes to announce upcoming and recent changes to the Hometap team
- Serving as a conduit for feedback and progress updates during extended beta periods
- Running our sprint reviews so each scrum team can showcase their recent progress and receive feedback from key stakeholders
- Facilitating a monthly demo to highlight a notable development project and build excitement across Hometap
- Evangelizing agile principles with stakeholders so they can embrace progress over perfection
What You Bring:
- Credibility to own our product rollout process (distinct from our software deployment process) based on knowledge of the product management discipline, our customers, and the industry. You will be our leading internal cheerleader for the evolution of Hometap’s software.
- Reliability in the form of structured project management, high personal accountability, and transparent communication. You are comfortable navigating Jira backlogs, Confluence pages, and our Productboard roadmap to provide clear, timely, and meaningful updates to stakeholders.
- Influence over stakeholder perception of our software, demonstrated by empathy for our homeowners and each of our internal roles. You can help internal audiences understand the reason why any given feature is relevant to our business performance and our mission, and connect that to people’s individual pains and pleasures.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills that remove ambiguity and inspire others. Your written updates are succinct and accessible. Your presentations hold an audience’s attention while conveying necessary information. You don’t rely on jargon and platitudes to deliver a message.
- You are technically conversant. You should be able to follow along with a scrum team’s stand-up, as well as ask and answer questions with engineers, designers, and product managers about functional details.
- Bonus points: Knowledge of messaging frameworks and a repeatable approach for defining key benefits for any feature. Comfort and curiosity with analytics—we currently use a combination of Segment, Heap, FullStory, and Tableau. Familiarity with marketing automation software (Ortto) where our internal newsletter lives, as well as tools for creating video walkthroughs (Loom) and in-app feature introductions (Appcues).
