Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience analyzing title opinions and researching county records to track leasehold transactions and verify lease ownership calculations.
  • Membership in the American Association of Professional Landmen.
  • Ability to meet daily and weekly deadlines while managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with management and clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, or Google Workspace, including Sheets and Docs.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat.
  • Skill in surface, mineral, and leasehold title research.
  • Ability to calculate ownership on both the landowner and operator sides.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive research, including county records, production history, and seller's files.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal team members and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze and document research findings and extract pertinent information for client reports.
  • Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment with shifting timelines.
  • Complete additional tasks and responsibilities assigned by management based on evolving business needs.
  • Review the work of other landmen and provide constructive feedback to ensure accuracy and consistency in research and documentation.
