Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Management, or related field; or the equivalent in course work and experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience
  • Certification(s): APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society) certification would be helpful but not required.
  • Functional Skills: High detail orientation with solid math and data analysis skills required. Strong planning and organization skills are also required. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities/deadlines effectively with large amounts of data; conceptual thinker with solid problem-solving skills is also important.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Experience with ERP and material planning systems with Report Writing required, knowledge of Oracle is helpful but not required. Advanced in Excel.
  • Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication required.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Collaborative with an ability to influence others; high customer-focus to provide exceptional customer support both internally and externally. Quality/compliance oriented to meet the goals of the customer and stay within inventory parameters; data-driven with a strong sense of urgency to meet the needs of the customers and scheduling goals of the department.

Responsibilities
  • Orders components by creating purchase orders (for external use) or work orders (for internal use) to meet current and forecast demand and timelines for production.
  • Monitors and manages inventory levels while collaborating with plant leadership to meet production and customer needs, ensuring the inventory counts are accurate through an effective cycle counting process.
  • Liaisons with vendors on specification needs, any errors in delivered components, or changes to orders for effective and timely resolution.
  • Develops cost-saving opportunities by sourcing, qualifying, and adding new vendors that can deliver on value and price.
  • Collaborates and communicates closely with the plant manager, plant superintendent, and production personnel to facilitate the successful execution of the production plan.
  • Collaborates with Customer Service on production scheduling issues, where the order sales schedule may be impacted, to find proactive solutions and meet the customer timelines.
  • Collaborates with Maintenance and Engineering to support department fabrication and purchasing needs.

Jamie Trentz has been named LeMar Structural Engineer for Brock Grain Systems, according to Christian Wing, LeMar Engineering Manager for the CTB, Inc. business unit.
