Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute Peptilogics' investor-relations strategy, including calendar planning, proactive outreach, content creation, and engagement tracking.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for current and prospective investors, analysts, and relevant media.
  • Own the development and maintenance of all investor-relations materials, investor decks, fact sheets, financing announcements, press releases, and question-and-answer documents.
  • Manage public-facing channels, including the corporate website and social platforms, ensuring timely, accurate, compliant, and consistent messaging.
  • Coordinate investor and analyst engagement across conferences, non-deal roadshows, and industry events.
  • Lead message development for key milestones, clinical readouts, regulatory updates, financings, grant awards, and commercial progress.
  • Track and report investor sentiment, sector trends, competition, and peer communications to inform executive decisions and positioning.
  • Manage investor-relations and public-relations agency relationships to support execution, visibility, and crisis response.
  • Prepare executives for investor meetings, speaking engagements, and media appearances with tailored briefings and coaching.
  • Operationalize a recurring investor-update cadence, including quarterly reports, post-Board updates, and ad hoc news flow, and translate internal insights into investor-facing narratives.
  • Partner with Clinical, Regulatory, CMC, Legal, and Finance to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and alignment in public-facing documents.
  • Support internal communications and collaborate with Corporate Operations for consistency across internal and external messaging.
  • Contribute to Board materials and corporate reporting tied to strategic communications and investor engagement.
  • Support presence at scientific conferences, trade shows, and investor events, and contribute to pre-commercial positioning as programs advance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

August 18, 2026 Tim Czartoski Peptilogics has appointed veteran orthopedic executive Tim Czartoski to its board of directors as the surgical therapeutics company advances zaloganan, its lead drug candidate for treating prosthetic joint infections and other potential medical device-related infections. Czartoski previously served as president of DePuy Synthes U.S. and most recently was president of U.S. Surgical and Global R&D at Enovis. His appointment gives Peptilogics additional commercial and orthopedic operating experience as zaloganan, also known as PLG0206, progresses through the RETAIN Phase 2/3 registration trial for prosthetic joint infection, or PJI. The company is developing zaloganan as a broad-spectrum anti-biofilm drug intended to address infections associated with implanted medical devices. Peptilogics describes the candidate as first-in-class and sees PJI as the initial indication within a larger medical device-related infection market. Czartoski spent 22 years at DePuy Synthes, part of Johnson & Johnson, where he led the company's $5.4 billion U.S. orthopedics business spanning joint reconstruction, trauma, spine, sports medicine and craniomaxillofacial products. His experience also includes launches of robotic technology platforms and advanced knee systems. That background is relevant to Peptilogics as it considers how a drug-based approach to device-related infection could fit into existing orthopedic procedures. Commercializing a surgical therapeutic requires more than demonstrating clinical performance; adoption can also depend on how the treatment integrates with established surgical workflows, hospital practices and the decision-making of orthopedic surgeons. "Infection is the most significant, unsolved problem in orthopedics, and I've spent my career watching surgeons challenged to address them and the persistent biofilm with the tools available," Czartoski said. "Devices alone aren't going to solve this." Prosthetic joint infections present a particularly difficult operational and clinical problem because bacteria can form biofilms on implanted devices. Peptilogics is developing zaloganan to target that underlying infection environment, potentially providing a therapeutic component alongside the surgical approaches used to manage infected implants. "The only real tool surgeons have had against device-related infections is more surgery. We are aiming to change that with zaloganan, and Tim is going to help us change it," Peptilogics CEO Jonathan Steckbeck, Ph.D., said. Steckbeck pointed to Czartoski's experience managing major orthopedic product launches and navigating changes in surgical practice as important capabilities for the company as its clinical program moves forward. For Peptilogics, that experience could become increasingly relevant if zaloganan advances toward commercialization. Introducing a therapeutic into orthopedic infection management would require coordination across drug delivery, surgical procedures and hospital workflows, along with engagement from clinicians accustomed to addressing device-related infections primarily through surgical intervention. Following his career at DePuy Synthes, Czartoski joined Enovis, where his responsibilities included U.S. Surgical operations and global research and development. Across those roles, he has worked on both the commercial and product-development sides of orthopedic care. Czartoski holds a Master of Science in Technology Management from Columbia University, an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University. He also serves as a volunteer board director at Matthew 25, a nonprofit clinic providing free healthcare to people unable to afford insurance in his community.
