About the job
- An active Texas Journeyman Electrician License is required.
- A minimum of four years of documented field work in the industrial and/or commercial industry is required, or completion of a four-year electrical apprenticeship program.
- A current driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record are required.
- Knowledge of and compliance with Texas safety and traffic laws are required.
- A strong understanding of the electrical industry is required.
- Candidates must be willing to travel as needed.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Employment is subject to a background check and drug screen.
- Plan and coordinate work ahead of time.
- Ensure that all materials, tools, equipment, and job information are on the jobsite or in the service van ahead of time.
- Operate the company vehicle appropriately.
- Communicate with vendors, engineers, owners, service managers, and other contractors to complete jobs within scope and budget.
- Investigate and solve problems to determine the most efficient way to install changes to existing service.
- Assist other team members as needed while following a neat and process-oriented work style.
- Complete high-quality electrical installations efficiently while managing time and materials.
- Manage and maintain all tools and equipment appropriately.
- Estimate the general time and materials required to complete service tasks, including manpower requirements.
- Perform commercial and industrial electrical service work, including troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, and installations.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivation and flexibility to accommodate changes in business strategies.
- Punctuality, motivation, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
