Requirements
  • Two or more years of related sales experience, preferably with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of customers, company personnel, and other parties.
  • Superior knowledge of DriSteem products and their respective markets.
  • Intermediate-level experience with Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook software.
  • Ability to operate office equipment and related financial software, including a computer, keyboard, printer, calculator, telephone, photocopier, and fax machine.
  • Knowledge of psychrometrics, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system layout, pumps, fans, and steam principles.
  • Ability to read plans and specifications and recommend the proper humidification system solution.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Technical aptitude and attention to detail to ensure systematic procedures are followed consistently.
  • Ability to support compliance with ISO 9001 standards and procedures and comply with company safety and health policies.
Responsibilities
  • Support sales efforts as the primary day-to-day contact for manufacturer’s representatives.
  • Provide product information, application guidance, and sizing assistance.
  • Assist with pricing, written quotations, and submittals when needed.
  • Use DriCalc selection software to support product selection.
  • Build relationships with representative personnel.
  • Coordinate with other departments and coworkers to meet customer needs.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for assigned sales representative and original equipment manufacturer accounts when Regional Sales Managers are unavailable.
  • Coordinate and negotiate projects with representative and original equipment manufacturer accounts.
  • Identify customer needs and provide assistance in selecting appropriate products.
  • Confirm verbal quotations in writing and respond to quotation requests.
  • Attend manufacturer’s representative training sessions and outside functions as required.
  • Maintain knowledge of DriSteem equipment, products, systems, and services to support appropriate equipment sales and margins.
  • Use a consultative selling approach with representative and original equipment manufacturer accounts.
  • Review customer purchase orders before order entry for specification credits, pricing, discount multiplier forms, change orders, wiring diagrams, and engineered-to-order forms.
  • Keep the Sales Manager informed of important developments and potential problems.
  • Coordinate and communicate inside sales plans and activities with other personnel.
  • Work with marketing and engineering as an internal partner by providing product and competitive feedback.
  • Recommend improvements to sales methods, procedures, products, and product development.
  • Make and receive telephone calls and quote accurate prices to customers.
  • Enter unit and parts orders into Syteline in a backup role.
  • Travel as required to assist Regional Sales Managers, representatives, and the company.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, personal networks, and professional societies.
  • Perform related assigned work.

  • An Associate Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with Syteline or Infor ERP.
