Owners Manifesto
Owners take charge—embracing full responsibility in a world filled with excuses, laziness, and mediocrity. They don’t settle for anything less than excellence.
Owners don’t follow up next week. They don’t do half jobs, either. They crack their knuckles, dig straight in, and keep working the problem until progress is made.
Owners are the doers. They feel the sting when they fall short of a promise because they live in a world where action speaks. In a world of talkers, keeping their word sets them apart.
Owners show results, not intentions. They know that the only way to score is by taking the shots. They can count their missed shots, while most people have no shots to count.
Owners don’t clock out when the time says so, they make the clock work around them. Their drive inspires others. People lose sense of time when they are working with owners. Time just flows.
Owners don’t default to working from home. They know strong businesses are built together, and they get energised by people around them. They know the true value of office chatter and coffee breaks, where alignments are formed and silos are destroyed.
Owners don’t wait for the work to be assigned, they anticipate the next priority and grab it. They don’t need check-ins, they are wired to deliver.
Owners don’t take aim just to say they tried. Even in the dark, they have a strategy for where they are aiming, and can learn from the shot they take. No matter how many bullets they have, they treat each of them as their last.
You Will :
- Lead end-to-end revenue generation for Gopuff Ads, transforming our consumer app into an advertising platform. Starts with defining go-to-market strategy by product and includes creating compelling pitch materials, managing sales pipelines, and securing investments.
- Assume full responsibility for Ads revenue targets and reporting in our P&L statement, ensuring clear visibility for relevant stakeholders regarding total revenue, pipeline status, and other KPIs.
- Shape the ads product portfolio and opportunities based on market trends and vendor insights. This involves addressing current partner needs and identifying new income-generating possibilities beyond our usual strategies. You will be informing the product pipeline, working closely with the US team to launch new features.
- Assist in generating and pitching strategic partnerships across sectors like CPG, hospitality, travel, fintech, and more. These partnerships aim to expand our customer base, increase our relevance in the UK, and contribute to defining Gopuff’s brand identity.
- Own the reporting process for advertising activations associated with non-CPG brands and distinctive, singular collaborations that do not justify the allocation of permanent account management resources.
You Have:
- +3 years of relevant experience in a sales role, showcasing a proven track record of revenue generation.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a history of driving sales success, particularly for newly introduced products. We’re looking for a storyteller.
- A data-driven mindset, adept at creating and interpreting sales forecasts and effectively conveying insights through data.
- Familiarity with dynamic, fast-paced environments, demonstrating the ability to be a self-starter and take initiatives proactively.
- Strong business acumen, with the capacity to understand the commercial and financial implications of Gopuff Ads or partnership projects.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing processes and infrastructure from the ground up, including reports, sales pipelines, pitching materials, and case study libraries.
- Nice to have: Experience working with consumer packaged goods (CPG) vendors in the digital advertising industry.
