Responsibilities
  • Monitor, toggle, and clear alerts, and prepare and load watchlists.
  • Use trading systems to code account guidelines and improve functionality.

  • Escalate concerns or issues and provide analysis on how to resolve them.
  • Work independently on small projects, coordinate with various teams, and drive projects through completion.

Granules India promoter sells 7% stake for $180M to fund growth plans

Krishna Prasad Chigurupati, promoter of Hyderabad-based Granules India, sold nearly 7% of his stake in the pharmaceutical company on Friday, raising over ₹1,500 crore. The transaction involved 1.72 crore shares sold through 22 block deals and open-market transactions at ₹872.50 per share, representing a 3% discount to the previous closing price. The deal attracted participation from nearly two dozen investors, including Capital Group, Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance Company, ChrysCapital, and Allspring. Smallcap World Fund Ind acquired the largest chunk, purchasing 34.7 lakh shares for ₹303 crore. Granules India stated the funds will support the second tranche of its ongoing preferential issue and next phase of growth initiatives. Following the sale, promoter group shareholding declined to 31% from 38%. The deal carries a 180-day lock-in period.

Allspring Global Investments has expanded its Milwaukee-based Global Fixed Income Research team with three senior appointments to strengthen its US high yield capabilities. The firm, which manages $624 billion in assets under advisement, appointed Dino Kritikos as head of US High Yield Credit Research, alongside senior research analysts Lucy Calandranis and Andy Childs. Kritikos brings over 15 years of credit research experience, most recently serving as US/Canada head of industrials and transportation at Fitch Ratings. Calandranis joins from Fidelity's High Income & Alternatives platform, whilst Childs previously worked at Pioneer Investments. The appointments bolster Allspring's global fixed income research team of approximately 75 specialists supporting the firm's $487 billion fixed income offering.

Sophie Freemantle has more than a decade of industry experience. 14 May 2026 Allspring Global Investments has hired Sophie Freemantle as its head of international product, following "significant" growth in business demand overseas. In the newly-created role, Freemantle (pictured) will develop Allspring's international product strategy to support business growth and meet client demand. She will report to Allspring's global head of product Rick Genoni. Prior to joining the firm, Freemantle spent seven and-a-half years at Federated Hermes, most recently as its head of product development outside of the US. She has also worked as business manager at Northern Trust Corporation. Commenting on the appointment, Genoni said: "I am delighted to have Sophie join its team.
