Teya partners with ClearBank to launch Savings Pots for UK businesses.

Teya partners with ClearBank to launch Savings Pots for UK businesses. According to the official press release, business owners can open pots earning 3% AER (variable), with interest calculated and paid daily. According to the official press release, business owners can open pots earning 3% AER (variable), with interest calculated and paid daily. Funds held in a pot remain instantly accessible and can be moved in or out at any time without withdrawal delays. Furthermore, the feature is designed for day-to-day needs such as setting aside money for tax bills, growth plans, or contingencies, directly within the app businesses already use. Teya said the product responds to feedback from its members. More than 50% of those interviewed reported that they do not earn interest on their free cash because managing money across multiple accounts takes too much effort. Sahithya Vemana, Head of Banking at Teya, explained that with Savings Pots, revenue earned through Teya can move from payments into savings within the same environment. Businesses do not have to manage or reconcile a separate savings relationship, and the funds remain available when needed. Savings Pots is delivered through ClearBank's Embedded Banking proposition. Under this arrangement, ClearBank acts as a third-party UK authorised bank, so the savings are interest-bearing and protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). Teya evaluated several approaches before selecting ClearBank's infrastructure. According to Carl Hirschson, Senior Product Manager at Teya, Savings Pots and an upcoming premium savings product were both built on a single integration in four months rather than a year. Emma Hagan, CEO of ClearBank UK, described the launch as combining Teya's understanding of its customers with ClearBank's banking infrastructure to bring new products to market quickly. Savings Pots is the first savings product to come out of the partnership, and further products are planned, including the premium savings offering. The launch follows other additions to Teya's portfolio. One is a new Business Account that lets business owners automate spend management, earn cashback on team members' day-to-day spending, and manage these functions through one app. Another is Teya Pro, a card machine that completes transactions in under 1.7 seconds. On the regulatory side, Teya has recently been selected by the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for the solo-regulated track of its Scale-up Unit. ClearBank was selected for the Unit's first cohort of dual-regulated firms in February 2026. For merchants already processing payments through Teya, the launch brings payment acceptance, business account, and savings functions into a single app. For ClearBank, the partnership adds another deployment of its embedded banking infrastructure, and more savings products are expected from the same integration. The four-month build timeline cited by Teya shows how quickly payment providers can add deposit products when they build on an authorised bank's infrastructure... Sep 24, 2026 00:00

Compare card payment providers: What should your business really be looking for?

Compare card payment providers: What should your business really be looking for? If you're reviewing your business costs, it's easy to focus on one number: the rate you're paying to take card payments. But in its experience at Switch4Profit, that's only part of the picture. The right payment solution needs to work with your EPOS, support your team when things go wrong, get your money into your bank quickly and give you the flexibility to change as your business grows. That's why Switch4Profit Ltd believe it's worth looking at the whole package, rather than simply comparing headline rates. So, how do they compare? There are plenty of payment providers competing for UK businesses, from established names such as Worldpay and Barclaycard to newer providers including Dojo, Teya, Square, SumUp and Flatpay. They all have their strengths, but there can be some important differences when you look beyond the headline price. It's not just about the headline rate. Switch4Profit Ltd has seen businesses spend far too much time comparing transaction rates without looking at what they're actually paying overall. For example, a flat rate might look attractive when you're processing a relatively small amount each month. But as your turnover increases, the difference between a flat rate and a properly structured pricing model can become significant. There can also be other costs to consider - monthly fees, settlement charges, terminal rental, PCI fees, authorisation fees and contract termination costs. The rate on the sales proposal isn't necessarily the number that matters most. Your total cost is. That's why Switch4Profit Ltd always recommend looking at your actual statements and invoices before deciding whether you're getting a good deal. Technology matters too. For a busy pub, restaurant, club or retail business, your card machine doesn't operate in isolation. It needs to work with your tills and EPOS, keep transactions moving when you're busy and make life easier for the people running the business. Dojo has integrations with more than 450 EPOS systems, meaning businesses have a wide choice of technology rather than being forced into one particular ecosystem. For hospitality businesses in particular, the ability to connect payments with EPOS, bookings and other systems can make a real difference. It can reduce manual keying, speed up service, simplify reconciliation and give you better visibility of what's happening across the business. And then there's support. A payment system can work perfectly for months - until it doesn't. When you're standing behind a busy bar on a Saturday night and payments stop working, being able to speak to someone quickly is very different from submitting an online support request and waiting for a response. Dojo provides 24/7 UK-based human support, which is particularly relevant for businesses that trade evenings and weekends. Cash flow is another big consideration. Getting paid isn't the same as having access to your money. For businesses with significant weekend turnover, waiting several days for funds to reach the bank can put unnecessary pressure on cash flow. Dojo offers next-business-day settlement, with faster settlement options also available. For a hospitality business that can take a significant amount of money over a weekend, that can make a meaningful difference. What about the other providers? There isn't a single payment provider that is right for every business. Square has built a strong reputation for simplicity and ease of getting started, particularly among smaller businesses. However, businesses wanting more advanced functionality may need to move onto paid plans, and its approach is more closely tied to the Square ecosystem. SumUp is another popular option for smaller businesses and mobile traders, with simple hardware and straightforward pricing. However, flat-rate pricing can become less attractive as transaction volumes increase. Flatpay promotes a very simple proposition and a low headline transaction rate. But businesses should look closely at the length of the agreement, terminal costs and what is included within the headline rate. Teya offers an increasingly broad range of payment, EPOS and financial services for SMEs. As with any provider, it's important to look beyond the headline offer and understand the full pricing structure, settlement options and contract terms. Worldpay, Elavon and Barclaycard are established providers with extensive experience and large customer bases. However, businesses should check contract length, settlement times, additional fees and termination arrangements before signing up. The point isn't that one provider is automatically right for everyone. It's about finding the right fit for your business. So, what should you actually compare? Before switching payment provider, Switch4Profit Ltd'd suggest looking at these five things: 1. Your total monthly cost. Don't just compare the transaction rate. Look at every fee you're paying. 2. Your contract. How long are you tied in for? What happens if you want to leave? Are there automatic renewals or termination charges? 3. Your technology. Will the payment system integrate properly with your existing EPOS, bookings and other systems? 4. Your cash flow. How quickly will your money reach your bank account, particularly after busy weekends? 5. The support you'll receive. That's where Switch4Profit comes in. At Switch4Profit, Switch4Profit Ltd don't believe businesses should switch provider simply because someone has offered them a lower rate. Switch4Profit Ltd look at the bigger picture. Switch4Profit Ltd review your current setup, your costs, your technology and your contracts, then help you understand where there may be opportunities to save money or improve the way your business operates. And its advice is completely free. If you're a pub, restaurant, club, retailer or other SME and you're wondering whether you're getting a good deal, send Switch4Profit Ltd your current statement. Switch4Profit Ltd'll take a look and tell you what Switch4Profit Ltd find. No hard sell. No obligation. Just straightforward advice.

HDS Cloud Apps

Why now is the time to become an HDS Cloud Apps Reseller.

Why now is the time to become an HDS Cloud Apps Reseller. A presence in every city, built on purpose. Over the past few weeks HDS Cloud Apps has been deliberately building out HDS Cloud Apps' presence across every major city in the UK and Ireland - dedicated pages for London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Dublin and dozens more, plus hub pages covering England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland as whole markets in their own right. Each one is written specifically for that city's hospitality and retail scene, not a single generic template with the town name swapped in. That matters for a reseller because of what it does quietly in the background: a hospitality operator searching for EPOS options in their own city finds a page that's actually about their city, their sector, and the way trade actually works where they are - not a homepage that assumes every venue in the country trades the same way a central London restaurant does. That's a warmer lead than a generic national ad ever produces, and it's exactly the kind of interest a local reseller is best placed to pick up and convert, because the groundwork of "why HDS, why now" has already been done before the phone even rings. Why its reseller network keeps growing. Search visibility gets a lead to the door. What's actually growing its reseller network is what happens after that - and it comes down to three things HDS Cloud Apps hear from resellers themselves, over and over, on calls, in review meetings, and in the quiet moments when a reseller mentions in passing that a platform they used to sell just isn't worth the hassle anymore. Great communication. A reseller isn't left guessing where a deal stands or what's happening with a client they placed six months ago. Clear, direct communication with the HDS team - not a ticket queue, not an account manager who changes every quarter - is something resellers consistently tell HDS Cloud Apps they don't get from other platforms they've worked with. When a client has a question mid-deployment, or a reseller needs a straight answer before they can close, they're talking to someone who actually knows the account, not starting again from the top of a call script. Flexibility of product. HDS Cloud Apps covers restaurants, bars, hotels, cafes, retail and a growing list of specialist sectors - golf clubs, padel courts, stadiums, charity retail - from one platform with 50+ modules. A reseller isn't stuck pitching a rigid product and hoping it fits; the platform flexes to whatever the client in front of them actually needs, whether that's a single-till independent café or a multi-site group running restaurants, retail and events under one roof. That range means a reseller doesn't need three different partnerships to cover three different types of client - one platform, one relationship, every sector. Great support, happy customers. A reseller's commission is only as good as how long that client stays. Every HDS client gets full onboarding, staff training and 24/7 UK-based support - which means a reseller isn't the one fielding a 10pm technical call on a Friday service, and the client they placed a year ago is still a happy, paying customer today. A churned client is a dead commission stream; a supported one keeps paying out for years, which is the entire logic behind why support quality matters as much to a reseller's income as it does to the client's experience. Payment agnostic, by design HDS Cloud Apps integrates with 8 payment providers - Dojo, Teya, Trust Payments, Viva, Musqet, Global Payments, WorldPay and Take Payments - and never forces a client onto one of them. A client can choose the provider that suits them and switch later without replacing their EPOS. For a reseller, that's an easier conversation with a client who's been burned by a "free till, locked processor" deal before, and a genuine point of difference against platforms built to funnel every client into one payment relationship. What you actually earn as a reseller. The commission structure is built to compound, not to pay out once and disappear. Every component of a deal earns: the software subscription, the hardware margin, and a separate payments commission - all from a single client relationship, with no carve-outs reducing what's actually payable. A client placed a year ago is still earning commission today, and every month after that, without a single additional sales call. New clients also get 40% off their buy rate, which makes the pitch itself far easier - a genuinely lower price rather than a discount that quietly unwinds once a trial period ends, so a hospitality or retail business isn't weighing up a "free for now" offer against what they'll actually pay once the honeymoon period is over. "The recurring commission model means I earn from clients I placed over a year ago. It keeps building quietly in the background." - HDS Cloud Apps Reseller Partner Who makes a good HDS Cloud Apps reseller. There isn't one fixed profile, and that's part of the point. Existing hardware or till resellers use HDS Cloud Apps to add a genuinely flexible platform alongside kit they already sell, rather than being tied to whatever rigid software their current supplier bundles in. Payment ISOs and agents already talking to hospitality and retail businesses about processing find EPOS a natural extension of that same conversation - and because HDS is payment agnostic, that conversation never turns into a fight over which processor the client is forced to use. Hospitality consultants and local IT providers who are already the trusted first call for venues in their city are often sitting on the exact kind of relationships a city-specific search page is built to attract; they just haven't had a reason to bring EPOS into that relationship before. What all of them have in common is an existing network, even a small one, and a willingness to have one more useful conversation with the businesses they already know. The platform, the commission structure and the support behind every client are the same regardless of which of those starting points a reseller comes from. Ready to grow with HDS Cloud Apps? A growing local presence in every major UK and Ireland city means more hospitality and retail businesses finding HDS Cloud Apps every week - and every one of those conversations is an opportunity for a reseller who's ready to have it. Combine that with a product flexible enough to fit almost any venue, a payment-agnostic platform that makes the pitch easier, and support good enough that clients stay for years, and it's a genuinely good time to be joining the network rather than watching it grow from outside. If you're already talking to hospitality or retail businesses about their tech stack - or want to start - find out how the HDS Cloud Apps reseller programme works and what a recurring income built on real support actually looks like. Frequently asked questions. How do I become an HDS Cloud Apps reseller? What do HDS Cloud Apps resellers earn commission on? Do resellers have to sell one specific payment provider? What support do resellers get after signing a client? HDS Cloud Apps HDS Cloud Apps builds cloud EPOS for hospitality and retail businesses across the UK, Ireland and Europe, sold and supported through a growing network of local reseller partners. Build a recurring income selling world-class EPOS. Impressive recurring commissions, a flexible product, real support behind every client, and no forced payment provider to pitch around.

Teya launches next-generation card machine that completes transactions in 1.7 seconds.

Teya launches next-generation card machine that completes transactions in 1.7 seconds. * Payments * 03.08.2026 09:17 am Teya, the financial services provider supporting local businesses across Europe, today launches a new payments card machine that completes the majority of sales in 1.7 seconds - then instantly transfers money to sellers' accounts. The distinctive new lime-green Teya Pro device is being debuted in the UK as the latest in Teya's new suite of products designed to take payments faster, serve customers quicker and make sure businesses get their money sooner. Once the Teya Pro completes a sale in less time than it takes to sip a pint or thank a customer, Teya's Instant Settlement service means money is ready to spend in sellers' Teya Business Accounts moments later. At The Bat and Ball Country Pub & Haywards Restaurant in Wisborough Green, a local family-owned business, Richard Hayward delivers over 5,000 covers a month - and even more in mid-summer. "Fast payments mean fast service and more sales," says Richard. "When the pub and restaurant are packed, we just can't afford irritating delays while a sale is slowly processed. Everything has to work immediately. The Teya Pro has made a real difference, with happier customers and higher takings. And we see the cash turn up in our Teya Business Account straight away. That's exactly what a business like ours needs." Rebuilt entirely around the needs of the local businesses, these new products and service guarantees offer merchants everything they need to get paid more quickly: * The new Teya Pro card machine. With a 14+ hour battery that trades right through the busiest day, 6.7-inch tap-anywhere screen so the queue keeps moving, and three ways to connect - 4G, Wi-Fi and Ethernet - so a dropped signal never costs a sale. Built on a quad-core 2GHz Qualcomm chipset with 4GB memory and Android 13, it runs the till and payments side by side without lag, with the majority of payments completed in 1.7 secs. * Streamlined onboarding - getting merchants underway in minutes, not days. A digital-first registration process takes merchants from application to approval and taking payments faster than ever, with full transparency at every step. * The new card machines are underpinned by Teya's Instant Settlement offer, ensuring money arrives in merchants' Teya Business Accounts in seconds - or next-day everyday settlement that pays out daily, weekends included. For a business taking tens of thousands on a Saturday, that means immediate access to vital cash flow. * Because local businesses also need instant service, Teya has a support team on hand committed to picking up the phone in under 10 seconds if merchants need to get in touch. Alessandra Giner, Chief Product Officer at Teya, added: "Local businesses deserve better. Too many business-owners have had to become accustomed to hidden fees, being left on hold or otherwise being treated as an afterthought. Today, Teya changes that. We've designed our new suite of products for business, non-stop - making sure they get the faster payments, instant settlement, hassle-free onboarding and unparalleled customer support they deserve." Teya Pro represents the latest innovation in Teya's new suite of products. It follows the launch of the rebuilt Teya Business Account, a major upgrade allowing business-owners to automate spend management, earn cashback on all their team members' day-to-day spending and manage everything through one app.
