Requirements
  • An associate degree or equivalent and at least 3 years of General Imaging Ultrasound technical or clinical industry experience.
  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers certification in Abdomen.
  • Deep understanding of clinical education training and associated process implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex information and modifying messaging based on the audience.
  • Knowledge of healthcare information systems, networking, and information technology.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, at least 75% of the time, including 4–5 days per week, overnight trips, and some weekends, within the United States using cars, air travel, and trains.
  • Must live within the Wisconsin, Upper Peninsula Michigan, Iowa, and West Central Region territory.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and clinical leadership during the presales process by demonstrating the full range of Ultrasound products, including potential uses, product capabilities, and benefits, to customers and drive revenue within the region.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and execute objective-based system training for customers, and monitor and report training outcomes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for General Imaging Ultrasound and as a clinical liaison to the sales organization to strengthen the clinical capabilities of the team and customer relationships while driving business opportunities forward.
  • Penetrate competitive accounts and communicate current market intelligence to the business.
  • Advance new product features and clinical techniques, and partner with customers to develop training plans and strategies supporting new product assimilation and ongoing training needs for General Imaging Ultrasound.
  • Support trade shows and professional conferences by performing product demonstrations and customer training.
  • Act as the focal point for the modality and team, identify customer satisfaction issues, assist with escalations and problem determination, and respond to specialty training requests.
  • Develop relationships with customers, highlighting key opinion leaders where necessary, to standardize and optimize protocols and support clinical education initiatives.
  • Promote adoption of hybrid training delivery for customers.
  • Maintain required pre- and post-training documentation in accordance with global guidance.
  • Maintain applicable Quality Management System processes and Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Registered Vascular Technologist certification, or certification in OB/GYN, Adult Cardiac, or musculoskeletal ultrasound.
  • Demonstrated experience working on GE Healthcare General Imaging Ultrasound systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.

AsiaMedic first in ASEAN to deploy GE HealthCare's MR31 deep learning MRI platform

AsiaMedic has become the first site in ASEAN to implement MR31, GE HealthCare's latest generation MRI platform featuring deep learning technology. The Singapore-based imaging centre is among the earliest adopters in Asia Pacific. MR31 incorporates deep learning technologies that reduce scan times and enable detailed examinations across neurological, musculoskeletal and nerve imaging. Sonic DL for 3D delivers up to 12 times scan acceleration, reducing examination times across brain, spine, orthopaedic and body scans. The platform also supports high-quality prostate MRI imaging. AIR Recon DL Phase Correction provides improved visualisation of clinically significant lesions, whilst high-resolution T2-weighted imaging aids lesion localisation for prostate fusion biopsy planning. Shorter scan times mean reduced patient time in scanners and may help decrease repeat examinations caused by movement.

GE HealthCare launches AI tool to forecast hospital capacity bottlenecks 72 hours ahead

GE HealthCare has launched CareIntellect for Operations, an AI-powered software application that helps health systems forecast capacity constraints up to 72 hours ahead. The solution analyses hundreds of patient and operational data points to predict bottlenecks and recommend actions to optimise capacity and throughput. The Queen's Health Systems and Duke Health will be the first to implement the application. It uses two proprietary AI models: the Pressure Forecast model, which predicts resource constraints across hospitals and departments, and the Estimated Day of Discharge model, which predicts when patients will be discharged. The tool addresses operational challenges as US inpatient volumes rose 5.3% in 2025, requiring health systems to manage increased demand whilst facing staffing shortages and rising costs.

GE HealthCare secures CE mark for Photonova Spectra photon-counting CT system

GE HealthCare has received CE mark approval for its Photonova Spectra photon-counting computed tomography system, enabling commercial sales in markets recognising CE marking. The clearance follows US Food and Drug Administration approval and Japanese regulatory clearance in March 2026. The system uses GE HealthCare's Deep Silicon detector technology to deliver ultra-high definition spectral and spatial imaging. It processes data volumes up to 50 times greater than conventional CT systems, utilising Nvidia's accelerated computing platform. Clinical collaborations are underway at UZ Brussel in Belgium and Rigshospitalet in Denmark to evaluate the system across cardiology, neurology, oncology and musculoskeletal imaging.
